Carriefaith replied to VydorScope's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications

Therefore, I can get dairy cross contamination Thanks for the help though I've just heard that the regular Lays chips are produced on separate lines and I was just wondering if this was true? -

Carriefaith replied to VydorScope's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Ok... I am desperate for some potato chips I've read somewhere that the lays regualar chips are produced on separate lines (I think it was a post by celiac3270). Is this true? And are there ANY other chips produced on that line? Like gluten chips or dairy chips. -
ARCHIVED Modified Food Starch
Carriefaith replied to nobeer4me's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
If the Miracle Whip is Kraft than you should be able to eat it as long as there is not gluten listed in the ingredients. The modified food starch would have the source clearly labeled if it was gluten based. -

Here are some suggestions: Enchiladas Bean Flour Tortillas These are great and can be frozen, I would suggest doubling it 1/3 cup light bean flour 1/2 cup cornstarch 2 tablespoons tapioca flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 eggs or 3 egg whites 1 1/2 cups water oil for brushing the pan or skillet Mix everything together and let it sit in the fridge for... -

I think Planter's peanuts are gluten-free as well. I've read somewhere that they were. Planter's is a branch of Kraft so wouldn't they follow the same guidelines as Kraft with the strict labeling? -

Carriefaith replied to VydorScope's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
It sometimes takes a while to feel better. I know it's hard because after like 3-4 months I was at the doctors office complaining, "I'm not better "? ARCHIVED Teen With Possible Cd
Carriefaith replied to browneyedgrl73's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
There are a lot of symptoms with celiac disease and some people actually can have no symptoms at all. Your symptoms sound like celiac disease. This is a pretty good list: Open Original Shared Link I think you should be tested for celiac disease. I would ask for the celiac blood test panel. -
Some people do... A lot of celiacs have issues with dairy products and soy. I think that corn and eggs are also common. I had hair loss before I went gluten-free. Once I started the diet, the problem went away was your positive test a blood test or a biopsy? If you have already tested positive for celiac disease by bloodwork they may want...

ARCHIVED Teeth Problems.
Carriefaith replied to DragonQueen's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Celiacs often have teeth problems. I think it probably has to do with a lack of calcium and vitamin D due to the villi damage and malabsorption caused by gluten. I used to have at least one cavity almost everytime I went to the dentist. But after being on the diet for over a year, I went to the dentist and had no cavities! YAY! -
That is very interesting, thanks for sharing
-
Thanks for the info Nadia, I guess it not abnormal to still be feeling less than 100% at this point in time on the diet. broncobux, I am kinda like that too. The first 10-15 minutes of running or playing soccer is sometimes harder then the rest. But maybe it's because I'm not warmed up yet
