  1. I just spent a wonderful weekend in Annapolis, MD with my girlfriends from college. I was able to eat gluten-free with no problems until Saturday night. We chose to go to Middleton Tavern in the historic area of Annapolis because it looked like there would be seafood or steak choices for me. I ordered a steak with no "secret spices" and no Bearnaise sauce...
  2. If you go to Corbett St. Fish House on Tuesday or Saturday you have to get their crab/cheese soup. It's the best I've ever had. Stopped there today for soup and sweet potato fries. Yummm. Gretchen
  3. I spent some time in San Antonio last summer on business and had a wonderful gluten-free meal at Acenar, Open Original Shared Link It's on the Riverwalk but it's down around the corner from the busy part of the riverwalk. I had a delicious duck tostada. The whole restaurant isn't gluten free, but they were great to work with. I went back a second time...
  4. I love the BRM gluten-free oats. I used them to stuff my turkey at Thanksgiving (an old Scottish recipe) and I used them yesterday for oatmeal creme brulee. Gretchen
  5. Update: Oliver's is now closed.
  6. Thanks for the encouragement. So far, so good. I was able to find a nice fruit/cheese plate at the Denver airport and I've been eating steak and seafood with a side of rice for dinner. Luckily, I have a small fridge in my room so I was able to buy some breakfast stuff. It sure was a lot easier to eat on the road pre-diagnosis, but I feel 10x better now...
  7. I'm 4 days into an 8-day, 2-city business trip. It's the first time I've traveled since I was diagnosed gluten-intolerant. It's been quite a challenge. Luckily I have a studio room the first four days but I'm going to be in a hotel room the next four days. I was able to shop at a Wild Oats on my way here from the airport so I've been able to eat breakfast...
  8. We ate at Oliver's last night (formerly Tallarico's) and found out that they've expanded their gluten-free menu. In addition to the gluten-free pizza, they now have gluten-free sandwiches, nachos, and other entrees and all of their salads are gluten-free when ordered without croutons. All of their breading is done with rice flour so anything that goes in...
  9. There's a great little coffee shop next to the Corbett Street Fish House that has gluten-free treats. I'm eating a chocolate coffee cake right now. They also had bread pudding and a daily pasta dish. All gluten-free. And best of all, they serve yummy Stumptown coffee. Gretchen
  10. We just returned from vacation there, and I had a wonderful dinner at Gianni's on Atlantic Blvd in Pompano Beach. Open Original Shared Link They fixed me a delicious chicken dish on a bed of spinach that wasn't on the printed menu. A little north of there I had a great lunch at JB's on the beach in Deerfield beach. They were very accommodating. ...
