  1. I too have a hiatal hernia. Even minor ones are a major pain. I deal w/ a lot of chest pain. It feels like when I am bloating it pushes my lungs and everything into my chest and I get shortness of breath and of course the horrible reflux and heartburn. My advice for that is to wait 3 hours to lie down after all meals. Elevate yourself in bed either by...
  2. Along w/ the floating stools...is the fact that everytime I go I see what I ate the day or two before? Sorry if that is gross but its like my food isn't digesting. Just going right through. ???
  3. A hiatal hernia occurs when the upper part of your stomach protrudes into your chest cavity through a weakness in the hiatus (opening) in your diaphragm, which causes bloating in the upper part of the stomach where a lot my bloating is. Other symptoms are gas, heartburn, adominal pain. Again just somthing to consider.
  4. I want to start again, but I have been making excuses to myself not to do it. Which is why I have the need to lose again. No more excuses! I am back on weight watchers. I would love to hear how everyone is doing and any good meal ideas. Jody
  5. I have been a weight watchers member. Only 5lbs away from my goal weight. I do not go to meetings anymore but count my points, that is before going gluten free. I need to start again. I do okay w/ breakfast and supper it is lunch and the nightly cravings. I would be willing to give it a go w/ you though. Jody
  6. I still bloat since being gluten free. Mine, I have been told is a Hiatal Hernia. My mom has had the same problem and the GI found it when I had my Endoscopy. Google it.
  7. I have cheated and figured I would get my typical nauseau, the major Bloating, and after a few days would feel okay. NOT true. I have cheated 3 times on purpose. SO NOT WORTH IT. My symptoms get worse now. I get the dreaded D which turns into the dreaded C and I do throw up some and get terribley bloated. My mood changes and I start feeling down and...

I too am owned by a Beagle! I also have a Lab. I feed them Nutro. the Natural Chicken and Rice and the Lamb and Rice are supposed to be gluten free. I say supposed to cuz this was a couple months ago and I don't want to pass on wrong info. I have fed my boys Nutro for 3 years now and they have beautiful coats and are very healthy. I did a lot of research...
  9. I am starting to discover problems w/ dairy as well. Was not a problem a month ago. Last week I ate yogart (gluten free) and was bloated. I thought I got glutened elsewhere. Had cheese in my omelett the other day and was gurgly stomach, pains, and bloating. Had milk same night and all over again. I am going to stay away from dairy for a while again...
  10. I emailed Victor Allen yesterday afternoon to check on their coffee products and had a response w/in hours. IF anyone drinks their coffee...which I love:) Here is the very helpful info received: Good Afternoon Jody- How odd it is that you chose Victor Allen's to write to about Celiac Disease. 11. I agree w/ the hangovers! When I had one after drinking beer. Even 3 or 4 and I was throwing up the next day or nauseous. Couldn't eat. Now if i have a few mixed drinks (even a few too many) I can function the next day. Yes to a headache but I can eat. There is clearly a difference in how I feel.
  12. I had quit drinking beer over a month ago. ON the 4th thought I would try one. WRONG. Was instantly sick. I was sick the next day as well. I have found it to be a big trigger.
  13. I too get the muscle and joint pain along tingling, RLS, and many other symptoms. I find stress, lack of sleep, and alcohol can all intensify the pain. I have also noticed when I cut back on my caffeine that this pain started. I couldn't do cold turkey so cut back more gradually. It hurts and I can sympathize w/ you. Hope you start seeing some improvement...

  17. Didn't mean to post blank before. Still getting used to this forum. I will write everything down. I will make sure of it.
