    Asked hubby to help me remind kids to clear their dishes from the table and keep their stuff off of the kitchen island (hairbrushes, library books, school id . . . ).     My first house had avocado appliances. The fridge was a Norge with flowered vinyl contact paper in the bottom (because it was cracked). Lots of shag carpeting throughout. The nice thing was that it had some really nice hardwood floors underneath.

    Tis now called "Frieze" . . . pronounced "frizz-EH" We laugh about the "fancy shag" here as well.

    Yep . . . we had rabbit pellets here as well . . . and no rabbit in sight. The GI actually put my daughter on Miralax for awhile to get things moving but it sounds like you're making pretty good progress without that kind of "help".

    I grew up desensitized to the whole "special dates" kind of thing. I was one of five kids and our birthdays are all during the summer. When Mom was filling out forms for school or the doctor or something, she always had to ask me when my birthday was. If you grow up with your Mom not knowing when your birthday was, you don't really expect anybody else...
