  1. Just made some Halloween cookies (notice my new av? ) Here is the recipe that I now use: 1 Cup Butter 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar 1 Cup Sugar 2 Eggs 2 Teaspoon Vanilla 3 1/4 Cups gluten-free Flour 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder 1/2 Teaspoon Salt 1 Teaspoon Xanthan Gum Cream butter and sugars well, add eggs and vanilla...
  2. Hmmmm . . . running out of ideas here. I gave it a try and it worked for me. Have you tried following any of the other threads? The Frankenstorm one gets a lot of action so you should be able to tell fairly quickly. Did you check your spam folder? I don't see how, but a computer might interpret this vital thread as . . . <gasp> . . . spam. Why...
  3. Did you check your email address? When you "followed" did you sign up to get your notifications instantly? Did you remember to pay your membership dues?
  4. Did you check your notifications options in your settings? . . . It may have been wiped out/reset during the upgrade.
  5. Not a bug . . . just an asthetic kinda thing . . . and I hope I can explain this . . . The "box" that all these posts are in looks undersized. It looks like it should be the same size as the "box" that the header is in which would provide room for margins. The right justification/left justification in this "box" is right on the edge with no margin...
  6. I do have some flours in my freezer and some in my fridge. I think it's more of an issue of flours going rancid (those with higher quantity of fat like soy flour or almond flour) than with bugs. But the flours that I go through quickest (potato starch, rice flour, tapioca flour) I keep in the pantry without any issues.
  7. My daughter has switched to the Think Thin bars. They really aren't like Clif bars, but they are a small high protein bar that's convenient to grab and go.
  8. . . . and you know what else would make this the update even better??? . . . if Skawt gave us each one meeeellion dollars!!! . . . but hey, I'd settle for the ole "If I had a nickle every time Patti posts"!!! I do really like being able to see all the other posts as I write my post.
  9. So far, the only thing that really bothers me is the MultiQuote Button and the Quote Button on each post . . . the black w/shaded green background looks blurry. I'm sure it's not because of my poor eyesight Made some cute Halloween cookies . . . I'll have to take a pic . . . and I need to go post on that sugar cookie thread . . . and then somebody...
  10. Glad to hear that you could get in much sooner. So you know to keep her on gluten until you see the GI/have the endoscopy but now is a good time to sample some gluten free items or try out some recipes. That way you'll be a bit more prepared when you take her gluten free and already have a bit of experience under your belt. Good Luck and Welcome...
  11. I'd rather have snow than ice any day of the week. We had really bad ice a couple years back . . . several inches thick. Got stuck in my own drive. Well, not stuck . . . just couldn't go up it and there's really very little slope to the drive.
  12. Are they really calling it that?? . . . hope they are . . . and good luck to all youse in the path. Friend of mine was telling me she was emailing her 25-year old son (to her husband's dismay)with a list of supplies that he needs to have on hand and other recommendations (where to park the car, cooking, etc). Hey, that's what a good mom does!!! ...
  13. Just wanted to say that Indiana does observe daylight savings time now (and have for the past few years). Having grown up with DST and then moving here, I will say that it was a pain-in-the-arse to NOT have daylight savings. People could never remember what time it was when they were calling you (Are we on the same time now? or are you earlier than us now...
  14. Sorry I missed the party . . . the computer was unavailable . . . as in hubby was hogging it all night long!! Harrruuummmmph!!! Congratulations on your 20K, PatTea!! . . . Wish I had a nickle for every time Patteigh posted
  15. I could not find the cinnamon chips so I googled and got this recipe: Open Original Shared Link I'm gonna try these in my cinnamon crunch muffins.
  16. We're five and a half years into this and my husband glutened my daughter within the last year with regular Rice Krispies at a hotel . . . "Hey, she eats Rice Krispies at home, she can eat them here" . . . he didn't realize there are two versions. It happens.
  17. Wow Patti . . . you're the 50K poster AND about to phlip 20K??!! . . . you're playing with fire, my phrend!! Luckily, there should be plenty of water come along anytime now to take care of it.
  18. Holy S'mores . .. We've never discussed this, but what happens with a big phlip on this thread? Did you guys realize we are getting pretty darn close to 50,000 replies on this thread? What happens? Tidal Wave?
  19. NO. No you don't . . . it's just a tad messy in there and more than just a bit crowded. Would it help if he spelled it right? Pompatus? as in "Pompatus of Love"? However, if you often mix up your song lyrics, maybe you were singing "pompadours of love" or "Pump at us o' flove"?
  20. Was that $14 total or $14 each? Unfortunately $7/each is about what I pay. I do watch for stuff to go on sale (save a buck or two a box) and then buy several. My Krogers carries some gluten free frozen stuff in their "health food/organic" section, it's not with the regular food. Whole Foods has a bigger selection than Krogers but if Krogers carries it...
  21. Just so you know . . . you are answering a post that is almost three years old. Although the info is good for anyone else needing help with substitutions, the original poster probably has figured out which pancake recipe works for them
  22. From neosporin's frequently asked questions: Open Original Shared Link Is there gluten in NEOSPORIN® First Aid Antibiotics? Gluten-containing ingredients are not added to NEOSPORIN® First Aid Antibiotics. That being said . . . my daughter was bit in the face by a dog when she was 18 months old and had to see a plastic surgeon. The plastic s...
