  1. I make all of our bread. I do use a stand mixer, but the consistancy of the dough is usually like a really thick brownie batter. It's not kneadable. Maybe you could keep an eye out for a stand mixer at garage sales this summer, or you could check out craigslist to get one cheap...
  2. So, I've got a little boy who has taken to lying about EVERYTHING. He has been grounded, spanked-which doesn't work, I even took his birthday away, which he now has to "earn back" by not lying....What do I do???? My dd went thru this phase around the same time, but it was nuphin like this, and he's SOOOOOO bad at it. He must think I'm stupid if he thinks...

  4. Yeah, I thought of that, but I'm not much more creative than that . Oh well, it's a beautiful name (if I do say so myself ) . Not that it matters AT ALL, but both her name and mine are French even though I'm basically 100% Irish/Scot and Jesse is German/English. I wanted poor Max's name to be of Irish origin, but DH didn't like ANY Irish name I liked...
  5. Well, I've been fretting about this stupid name all afternoon, was going to do something clever, but then it came to me. It will be called Madeleine Maxwell Designs (sounds chic...?) I'll email y'all more details once I get it going So excited!!!!!
  6. I need help from all yous creative types.... I need to come up with a clever name for the blog I'm going to start. It will revolve around my cakes and some party planning. I'm quite daft when it comes to this stuff Any assistance will be appreciated!!
  7. There's only Red Robin here that I trust. I know it's a gamble every time you eat out, but-knock on wood-the kids have never gotten sick there from anything. Also, wherever we go, we ALWAYS make sure it is NOT peak meal times. Definitely more dangerous!

  13. Geeze, I come from 80 degrees and fabulous, to 59 degrees and rain in a matter of 10 minutes We were trying to come up with new names for Vancouver in this Junuary blah that we're in. The kids came up with Raincouver, Seacouver, Vanlympic Peninsula.... I'm SICK of this rain!!!! Constantly! I am at fault for anything that goes wrong ...

  15. OMG, lady was NUTSO!!!! My secretary bad-date-paged me 3X before I could inch my way out of the room. Apparently she has a service cat who picks up on seizures (which the lady doesn't have ) and the cat "attacked the sh!t" out of her because she just knew that something was wrong.....WIH?!?!?! She actually came into the ED because the cat attacked her...

  17. Ohhhhhhh, 1 more patient today and then we're off to the bowels of earth for 2 days. To top it off, my last patient is certifiably crazy! My secretary and I have it all mapped out so neither of us will be alone with her for longer than is necessary. She's even gonna "bad date page" me if her exam has taken too long I shall let you know how it goes before...
  18. The allergies are the only real thing that's different right now, and I haven't given him any Claritin since Monday, so I'm not sure. I'll try waking him up to go before I go to bed, see if that helps. I hate doing that though because he never fully wakes up and unless I take matters into my own hands.....(which I don't prefer....) then it's a big mess...

  22. 6 hours if a normal person drives. 4.5 hours if I drive 45 minute plane ride. Not horrible, but horrible enough.
  23. I think it's a kid thing. Both of my kids were like that, I was like that too and DH has always been that way (DH and I don't have Celiac). I stopped fighting them on the coat thing. They have to bring one just in case, but I usually leave it up to them. Now if we're skiing, that's another story
