  13. i finally went to a naturopathic doctor and he is gonna be testing me for EVERYTHING...comprehensive stool test, saliva, blood. my biggest fear is that I will have to cut out other foods.   14. i can't live without sandwiches and need a good recipe for a bread that is firm yet soft and delicious. ive had gluten free breads before that tasted like cardboard and didnt hold together when u make a sandwich. i'd really appreciate some help.   15. hi- Does anyone know if having a gluten sensitivity can cause leaky gut (aka increased intestinal permeability? I had the lactulose/mannitol test and it indicated that my gut permeability was elevated. i then found out my anti-gliadin abs were elevated...so i'm trying to figure out what caused what...did the leaky gut cause the gluten sensitivity or...
  16. thanks for all the kind feedback i'm also concerned how this will affect my social life. im a 33 yr old single guy and am very self conscious when im in restaurants cause i cant have dairy. but now if i go on a date and i cant eat anything the girl will think i'm a total freak
  17. just found out i have a gluten sensitivity and am going gluten-free - 2 days and i'm already miserable. the thought of never having my favorite beer again, never being able to go back to Israel and have a falafel pita, no deli sandwiches when i go home to NYC, no Matzah ball or chicken noodle soup for the jewish holidays.   19. i just started my gluten-free diet, but now i have 2 major concerns: 1. I don't want to loose weight 2. in the past when i cut out gluten my colon locks up and i cant go to the bathroom for 5-6 days and the bloating and full abdomen puts pressure on my bladder and aggravates my prostate. I guess i could take laxatives every day but i dont wanna develop...

Also I find that when i remove gluten from my diet I get extremely constipated..like i wont go for 4-5 days w/o taking a laxative or Mg. longest i ever stayed on the gluten-free diet was 2 weeks and then i couldnt take it anymore

Hi- not sure if you can help me but I have a question.i just had a stool test and my anti-gluten antibodies were elevated (the value was 21 with 10 being the cut off for positivity on the lower end and 350 being the upper cutoff)- the person who tested me said i should go gluten free for life, thing is do I really need to? the stool tests are more effective...
