  3. Hello Everyone, The topic here is whether someone ought to take communion if they have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. The medical answer is no, although anyone can make their own choice and still decide to do this. The Catholic Church has, since 1994, allowed members to use low-gluten hosts for communion. These would be made with wheat starch that...

  13. Thank you Ursula...the makers of that product have spammed this forum to sell their product to the point where I had to take the ultimate course of action, which is making it so their name gets replaced with "Lame Advertisement" when mentioned here... Take care, Scott

  17. Hello Everyone, As mentioned earlier in this thread, only the moderators and you can see your personal warn level, so there should be no concern that it will affect how other members view you or your posts, and there is nothing in the programming that changes anything about the posts made by those who have a warn level above zero--they are treated indentically...
  18. Hi, I just checked your blog and it looks ok to me...there are some formatting issues with the blog that I am working on now, but I don't see what you described here. Be sure that your board view is set to "Standard." You can check this right here--look for the drop down box called "Options" on the top right of this thread... Take care, Scott

  20. Unclezack: 2.5 grams if very different than 25 grams...and again, Glutenease is not AT-1001 -- in fact it has nothing to do with AT-1001. A common tactic of those who want to convince you of something who don't have any factual basis to back it up is called "appeal to authority." When you cite a Celiac.com or Celiaccentral.com summary of an AT-1001 scientific...
  21. Unclezack: I've never heard of any study currently being done that made any mention of a specific amount of gluten that they hope their treatment will allow people with celiac disease to eat, so I have no idea where you get this 25 gram amount--but please let us know. Since you seem to be the person whose focus on this board is to defend Glutanese as something...
  22. Unclezack: You are drawing conclusions about the study that are false and misleading. The study of AT-1001 is ongoing, and it is not yet known whether that drug will ever get FDA approval. The findings of their Phase 2A clinical trial were not very positive (at least that is my interpretation), which led them to have to do a phase 2B study. More about...
