    We love the house wrens, carolina wrens, etc, etc. Bet you never would have guessed that now, would you?     Unfortunately, in spite of the housing bust, they are building-mad here. The whole area has grown tree-(less)-mendously in the last few years and someone forgot to tell them to stop!!!!     I can only speak for myself as far as DH, but I believe this to be true; that over time, as your body is rid of toxins from gluten, the outbreaks get less and less severe.     Hi Em! I know what you mean about schools not closing no matter what. When I lived in the Adirondacks it took a lot to get the schools closed! But then again, the snow and bad weather is the norm, and they had the equipment to deal with it. I loved front wheel drive cars, I could get to work safely no matter what!     Weather is pretty shtinky here, too. Not only the snaow (only about 2"), but a heavy coating of ice on top. We're expecting more freezing rain and mixed krapp. Schools close here for everything because there just isn't the equipment to handle clearing the roads (lots of mountainous back roads). 'Course.....this does not directly affect me....no chilluns...

    DH is Celiac. It's the skin form.....but if I remember correctly you would also have the villi blunting. Not everyone exibits all of the same sympoms. Some of us lucky folks have not only DH but all of the other symptoms as well. I think there are a larger percentage of us than what I've seen printed. Anyway....I believe your teflon pans are fine....

    You may also want to consider your vitamins/supplements to make sure they are gluten free. If they list "starch", there's a good chance it's only corn starch but you can't be sure. As far as I know, supplements are not yet under the same labeling laws as foods are. Good luck finding the culprit!

    Congrats from me, too! I also noticed a difference. I like to keep my nails, short. I've always had to cut my nails about once a month, maybe. Now I'm finding I need to cut them every week!
