    ARCHIVED Infertility

Hi Sarah, we're on cycle 9 of Clomid. It gets so frustrating, but wow do I feel better being on the diet. I'll never go back to gluten again. Hang in there & let me know how things go for you!
  2. I have not been lucky enough to get pregnant, but a very good friend SWEARS by frozen grapes. You buy any grapes you like & just freeze them. Hope you're feeling better soon!
  3. I'm 36. I was "diagnosed" with unexplained infertility in May2004, celiac in June 2004. I would have a 2-12 hour period, that's all. But all my levels were fine. Once I mentioned that my dad had celiac my gyn wanted me tested. From what I understand, your body won't absorb nutrients needed to provide enough of a lining in your uterus & you may...
  4. I should mention, my mother-in-law is a therapist.
  5. Wow. I am so glad to see I am not alone. I will give my husband credit. He tries. He has made lots of trips to their home to specifically discuss it. Bringing food to their home is not an option. She said that is "insulting - I just need to learn to deal with it". I think we will just stick with the avoidance, until they someday (hopefully) learn...
  6. I have been gluten-free since June 25, 2004. I have gotten sick 5 times - twice at resturaunts & 3 times at my in-laws. Both my husband & I have a hard time talking to my mother-in-law about celiac. I don't look sick, so I am not. She also maintains she has been cooking a certain way for years & will not change. "She has to learn she will...

    ARCHIVED Infertility

Thank you so much Melissa. I'm 36 soon to be 37. All of my doctors & my husband are so optomistic. I try to be, but some days it's hard. We have decided if Clomid doesn't work we will adopt.

    ARCHIVED Infertility

We are still trying. We are on our 5th round of Clomid, but the last time it actually looked like it was working, so we hope this is the dose & soon will be pregnant. I just started going to a new accupuncturist. She understood all about celiac, and said I may be feeling better, but I'm not better yet. My "digestive system is whacked". So basically...
  9. I was just at a Clinique counter & their makeup does say wheat & the newer one says barley. The girl argued with me that if I hadn't had a problem, then what does it matter. Well, it sure explains why my rash has gone away since I quit using Clinique products. Same with Estee Lauder. I am now going to try Bare Essentials makeup - made from crushed...
  10. Hi, I am new here, but I just checked out my prenatals. They are Ethex Prenatal Rx1. the do not contain gluten.
  11. I was just diagnosed last week & have been "suffering" with unexplained infertility. After I mentioned to my gyn that my dad had it she had me get tested. She now seems to think being on the diet, plus Clomid will help us have the baby we really want. Any one else have this problem?
