  2. Hello! has anyone experienced changes in their menstral cycle after going on the diet? I notice each month pms symptoms get worse. I was thinking it has something to do with hormones being suppressed during the years I was eating gluten....and now they are just going crazy or something. Please please please let me know what you think!
  3. Any other Celiacs live in Pa? I live just outside of Philadelphia..
  4. I got Gulden's Zesty Honey Mustard and noticed 'mustard flour' listed as an ingredient. Is all mustard flour gluten free?
  5. WOW...I have so many new recipes to try....I'm going to get fat just in time for christmas! Maybe I should buy a big red suit and some reindeer! But seriously, thanks for all the info and support! Last night my grandmom threw a slice of bread at me and said, "oh just eat what everybody else is eating...I never heard of that silly celtics disease, you...
  6. Would you mind giving up that grain free banana bread recipe? That sounds very interesting. At this point I guess I'm just looking for any excuse to eat anything I could eat six months ago. Thanks for clearing my head on that one....I should know better by now.....wishful thinking
  7. Has anyone ever gone off the diet for a while just to see the effects? I read in a MERK book that some people reintroduce gluten after a while. I was suprised to see this, and it got me thinking....maybe I CAN have mom's banana bread again!?!?!? What do you think?
  8. okay...gaining weight may be normal untill your body gets use to the whole 'I'm not starving any more' thing. But I honestly feel like poop now. A month after I started this diet I started having all kinds of stomach trouble. A couple weeks after that my head started hurting constantly, and now for the first time ever I have allergies and have to take...
  9. Hey everyone! I keep gaining weight too,and it really pisses me off cause I eat healthier now than ever. Fruits, veggies, lean meats.......bla bla bla!!!!!!! Eight months ago I ate cake and ice cream for dinner every night, I felt awsome, had all kinds of energy, and I looked great naked!!! Now I'm fat and confused! I have my doubts about my doctor.
  10. I wanted to buy some "HALLS" today (who gets a cold in the summer time anyway?).....One of the ingedients was ISOMALT. I googled it and found it is derived from beets, but i can't find it on any of my safe/unsafe lists. Dose anyone know if it's glutenated?
  11. wow! There are so many possibilities I didn't even consider...that opiate withdrawl is artical is wild! I will also look into the magnesium and b2. I really appreciate all of your responses...it helps so much knowing we can all come together to figure out these weird side effects and what to do about them.
  12. I went gluten free April 1,2008 (due to celiac). Two weeks ago I got a headache...I still have this headache that asprin won't relive. I got an MRI of my brain and it showed everything normal, and now am on antibiotics and steriods (doc thinks I could have a sinus infection) and the headache remains. I am scared and depressed without a clue of whats happening...
  13. I have to say that I love QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE!!!! Most of the music that has been coming out over the past couple of years sucks. Thankfully there are people like Josh homme, Mark Lanagan, and John Frusciante keeping my ears so happy. Who likes what I like? What do you like?
  14. Hi! I was diagnosed and have been on the diet for a month. I have never had any kind of a rash before, and now these small bumps are popping up on my arms, legs, hands and chest. I don't have many, but they itch and they look like they are filld with liquid. Could this be DH even if I never had it before?
  15. yes....I do like envirokids cereals...in my opinion they have been the best so far. I used to eat kelloggs special K selections alot, and I really liked raison bran crunch. In this first month after being diagnosed with celiac, I read some people won't eat products if they were made on shared equipment. Any thoughts on that?
  16. Okay, I have been gluten free for about 1 month. Most of the gluten free cereals I have tried I don't like. Dose anyone eat mainstream cereals? I hear fruity/cocoa pebbles are gluten free...I would love some feedback about any gluten free cereals
