  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. I have posted in the support group section with no luck on replies. Does anyone know if a Roseville support group exists for parents of Celiac Kids? I am interested in joining is there is one. Thanks!
  3. Is there a support group for Parents of Celiac kids in Roseville CA??? I am interested in joining, if so!
  4. We go a few times every summer, and as they check my bags, I start it off with letting them know that my 4 year old has Celiac Disease and requires a special diet. I have NEVER had a problem. I do have a Doctor's note, but have never had to pull it out. I would recommend getting a note from your Dr. for any amusement places in the future, but I have never...
  5. We took a Carnival cruise last April, and they were great in the dining room. The maitre'd came out every night to talk with me about the next evening's meal, and how they could prepare it for my celiac daughter. I did take a lot of snacks for her, and they told me I could use a portion of their fridge in the kitchen if I needed it.
  6. On my daughter's 2nd b-day, we had an "art party." For the dessert, we had the kids build their own ice cream sundaes in place of cake. We had tons of toppings, and the kids gobbled up the dessert. We simply put a candle in my daughter's ice cream and sang to her. We made "Pamela's" brownies last year, and topped them with icing. My daughter who is NOT a...
  7. We go there about once a month, and never have a problem. I usually cook a gluten-free pizza, and freeze the slices. When we go there, I ask them to put it on some parchment paper, and run it through the oven. My daughter loves getting pizza warm and it always comes out crispy.
  8. We are approaching our long awaited trip to DisneyWorld ourselves, and about a month ago, I typed in "gluten free Disneyworld" in google and up popped tons of suggestions of places to eat there. All through each park, and incuding the restraunts in the hotels. It was the most comprehensive list I have seen. Good Luck and enjoy!
  9. My suggestion is to contact your aunt, and ask the brand of turkey she has purchased. Then, get online, and check it out. I would also ask your aunt if she puts the stuffing in the turkey. Last year was our 1st gluten-free holiday, and I just brought some Oscar Meyer turkey slices for her, and she was fine with that. I was pretty intimidated about it all...
  10. I have GREAT news!!! If you are thinking of traveling to Disneyland, or have a trip planned...let me share my findings! We got back last night, and had a great gluten free trip! We called ahead and recieved NO help. I was rather disappointed, until we arrived at the character breakfast at Goofy's kitchen and I asked to speak to the chef about my daughter...
  11. We have the book "Eating Gluten Free with Emily" and I agree it is a great book! My 2 year old Celiac is a little young for it, but my 4 year old, non-Celiac loved it. I am however going to take the one suggestion to make my own book! What a great idea! You can't get any more personal than that!
  12. I have a 2 year old, and have fallen in love with our cooler/warmer/diaper bag. It is a backpack looking "diaper bag" that has compartments on each side for a cup, but in the front, it has an insulated compartment to hold warm or cold foods. I use a microwavable cool/hot "thing" that you buy in the area of the store that sells compresses, and ace bandages...
  13. I though they were gluten free as well!
  14. I have been feeding my daughter gluten-free food for the past year, and have avoided any sort of food that I haven't called the manufacturer on. Since she is getting a bit older, (just turned 2) she is starting to notice when people hand her and her sister something, and I have to take hers away from her. So, my question is, what are the ingredients that...
  15. YAHOO!!! THanks for the info! We will definetely check it out! My mom lives in Vacaville, and we live in Roseville, so we travel through there weekly, and occassionally stop at the Davis Co-op! Thanks for posting!
