I was recently diagnosed as gluten intolerant, and I kind of knew that I would because my daughter had also been dx recently.....but I never saw the casein diagnosis coming......that one really made me cry. Not only do I have to avoid gluten, but now can I never have ice cream again?? I really grieved for at least a few days, and wanted to call everyone...

Just found out that I am gluten intolerant with high antibody scores and a fecal fat score of 644. However, can someone interpret the DNA results for me? Can anyone help interpet my daughter's blood work? It was done at Kaiser. My daughter has celiac disease and now I'm wondering about the gene thing and if my husband and myself (and my other son) need to be tested. Her bloodwork was only mildly elevated, and she was VERY sick with symptoms. A gluten free diet has made a huge difference in her health. I've been reading about DNA tests for celiac, using saliva or stool, and also about food intolerance or allergy tests. Since only one of my daughter's tests came back elevated, the doctor is hesitant to diagnose unless she gets the biopsy (which we aren't going to undertake right now - I can't gluten my daughter again and watch her be sick for 2 months....

I am new to this board, my daughter is the affected one and I am having a trial and error period where we figure out what is ok for her to eat. She was doing good for about a week, and then 2 days ago ate Rice Chex with Rice Dream and also some dry roasted peanuts later on. She was really sick that afternoon and I have to blame it on one of those. Now...
