  1. I tried to do a search on the forum to see if it was in here but every time I tried it said an error had occurred. Does anyone know if bubble gum has gluten in it? My son had a gluten reaction and the only thing I could think of was bubble gum but I didn't see it listed on the ingredients, unless it was under another name. Which also bring me to another...
  2. Thanks, I am certain he has a gluten intolerance as we've had him off gluten for a few months now. I am just concerned he may have something else going on like colitis or chron's. But for sure the gluten is a problem, as is; sugar, dairy, soy, and corn. I didn't know about the false negative in children under 6. WOW 3 or 4 months! I'm not sure if...
  3. We got my son a referral to a Pediatric Gastro. My GP says it's obvious at the very least my son has a gluten intolerance but could quite possibly have celiac. I just want to make sure what the full celiac panel is and how much I have to gluten him for the test. Can anyone give me reliable information or point me in the right direction? Thanks Cinthia
  4. I was not sure where to post this. Does breast milk contain gluten? Does anyone know the answer to this? The reason I ask is that sometimes my 17 month DD gets a rash on her face and I'm not sure what it is from. She gets no gluten, sugar, or diary in her diet at all. I wonder if it is from something in my milk? I notice that if I have chocolate or...
  5. Purple, Those waffles look fantastic! I wanted to get something else to feed the kiddos for breakfast. I've a question though, what type o waffle iron do you use and would you recommend it? I wanted to get a good one. TIA
  6. Thank you!
  7. I have to agree, my little guy is extremely sensitive. He always poops in his pants when he has had either gluten or dairy. It really does not take much - a crumb, is all it takes. I have to agree with the next poster on that. Cross contamination is an issue here, it's taken DH a while to wrap his head around it but our DS is VERY sensitive to gluten...
  8. I am looking for a good jam that DS can have that is for certain gluten-free. I don't like using one with sugar or splenda. DS has a horrible reaction to sugar. So would like it to be sweetened with agave or some other natural sweetener that is not full of chemicals. Any ideas? Cinthia

    ARCHIVED Corn?

Hello there, My DS had been off gluten for months and also had a strong reaction to corn. I had started putting corn meal in his pancakes and it was fresh corn season so he was having corn on the cob. Each time he had these things, he had the same reaction as he does to gluten (IBS mostly). I'm unsure of exactly why this is but we took him off of it...
  10. Pan Cake: My kids absolutely LOVE these and gobble them all up! 1.5 cups almond milk 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce 2 eggs or 2 tbsp egg replacement 1 tsp vanilla 2 tbsp canola oil 1 Tbsp agave nectar or 2 tbsp of sugar 1 cup brown rice flour 1/2 cup sorghum flour (OR if you choose 1.5 cups of brown rice flour instead of the sorghum) 1/2 cup...

    ARCHIVED Dh

I just thought I'd pass along some information. A Doctor recommended that I put DS on Grape FRUIT Seed Extract and pharmaceutical grade Fish Oil. If an adult, just take according to directions on label. This has helped a great deal with the DH. Also a high quality Cal/Mag is good. I thought I'd pass it along as I saw another thread somewhere else where...
  13. Ok, this has been helpful. I know for sure I don't want to put DS back on gluten. His dietary response has convinced me that at the VERY least he has a gluten intolerance. He was an extremely sick little boy back in March, since gluten-free diet his health has improved so much. His DH is all but gone, along with eczema, weepy eyes, runny nose, wheezing...
  14. I want to use this lab for a diagnosis. DH is concerned that it is on the up and up. Can someone direct me to solid evidence that it is a reputable lab? Thank you so much in advance! Cinthia
  15. This is very interesting. My son got his glasses the week we took him gluten-free. He never once complained about wearing them or put up a fuss because it opened up a whole new world for him. Even now he doesn't argue about putting them on first thing in the morning. But I have noticed when he does his school work (we home school) or some drawings etc...
