  1. I have 2 eyeliner brushes. One is a thin little tapered brush that came with my Bare Minerals eye makeup kit, and the other is a thin, angled brush that I bought at the grocery store. I find a get a thinner line when I use the first brush, so that's the one I use most, but the other one is fine, too.
  2. I have a piggy-back question. What about Frontier? I used the Frontier/Simply Organic mix last night, I didn't see any suspect ingredients, and I feel fine, but I figured I should double check with you wise celiacs.
  3. While we're on the subject of CT, anyone have any recommendations for central CT? The shore's kind of a far drive from the Hartford area for one meal.
  4. Well, I made my usual meatball recipe with the gluten-free breadcrumbs, and they tasted the same as ever.
  5. If I have a good recipe for non-gluten-free meatloaf, can I just substitute gluten-free breadcrumbs for regular breadcrumbs? I want to try it, but I don't know if the consistency will be off.
  6. You could also see if anyone on this forum is a college student who you can interview either over the phone or via email.
  7. Awesome, thanks! Now if only I had the right ingredients, I'd try one of these recipes today!
  8. Okay, I have a super busy semester ahead of me, and I need to make good use of my slow cooker. Does anyone have any good gluten-free slow cooker recipes? Thanks!
  9. I have to say, it's only been about a week for me, but I had two functions this weekend, and my friends and family have been fantastic. My sister is a mother through and through, and she was so sweet, checking labels, looking stuff up on line, asking me what was okay, etc. At my friend's house, it was more luck than anything else. But my friend asked...
  10. Here's the verdict: this morning, my brushes felt super soft and clean. It was, probably, the best they've felt since I bought them.
  11. This doesn't help with your overall issues, but if you love yogurt, Stoneyfield Farm says on their website that they are certified gluten-free. Thank god, because I think I would die if I couldn't eat their yogurt.
  12. I'll let you know tomorrow...after I've used them again! I've been having some itchy skin issues, so I switched to this all natural soap a couple of weeks ago; this is the first time I've used it for my brushes. But one of the company's big claims is that is leaves absolutely no residue. My sister uses it on her baby's clothes, and she said her older son...
  13. Thanks! I saw, like 100 pages ago, that people were asking about brushes. I recently bought some cheap drug store brushes (an angled eyeliner brush and a small concealer brush that I use as a lip brush), and they've worked fine with my Bare Minerals. I also saw that someone asked about cleaning brushes. I just started using this all natural laundry soap...
  14. I'm totally new to this thread, I can't believe how long it is! I was reading everything, but then I realized it's 176 pages and decided to just post already! I ordered my free samples yesterday and then emailed my friend (we both use Bare Minerals) to tell her about it. I'm super excited to get mineral make up so much cheaper! So we can order more...
  15. Wow, thanks! I'll definitely try that recipe when I have time.
  16. Not exactly a healthy snack, but Utz Sour Cream and Onion are gluten-free. At least, it says so on the bag.
  17. Great, thanks!
  18. So I can deal without cake and cookies and everything, but what about ice cream? I have some organic vanilla ice cream that I'm not sure about. Here are the ingredients, are they okay? Thanks for the help. Ingredients: Organic Skim Milk, Organic Cream, Organic Sugar, Organic Egg yolks, Organic Vanilla Extract, Organic Vanilla Bean Specks, Locust Bean...
  19. So what made you suspect Celiac? I mean, some of the symptoms have such a range and they could be from any number of things. I should probably also mention (not sure if it's relevant) that inflammatory bowel disease runs in my family.
  20. Okay, so here's my story. I've had digestive health issues all my life. For years, I felt nauseated for no apparent reason, all the time. I've also always been really gassy. Then, several years ago, I developed a facial rash. At the time, I was going to a homeopathic doctor who decided to test me for gluten allergies. My test was borderline. Then my...
