    I have been to the Kogan Celiac Center at St Barnabas. I went after my diagnosis for nutritional counseling. They also do screening. They are in a hospital, so I dont think that "anyone with money" just opened the center. The nutritionist that I saw was great. She also has Celiac which in my opinion was great. She understands about everything...

    After your positive biopsy and positive bloodwork, your dr says.....I dont really diagnose this too often because following a gluten free diet is hard..

    All of my pain is in my upper abdominal area. Almost under my rib cage. Most of the time it is on my left side under the ribcage, but sometimes its centered. I have never had D.     What do you mean by "an hour? yeah right next" The specialist I was seeing I was lucky if he spent 2 minutes with me and didn't answer any ?s I had at all.     At the end of may I started having this pain under my rib cage on the left side. It got to the point that I ended up in the ER. They diagnosed me with pancreatitis since my amylase and lipase levels were elevated. The did xray, ultrasound and ct scan. All were normal. They told me to follow up with a GI within 2 days.     Not exactly NYC, but Fort Lee NJ, close enough. I saw Dr Meininger. He was wonderful. Spent over an hour with me. Explained every question that I had and didn't make me feel like I was taking up too much of his time. My last dr couldn't get out of the room fast enough. I felt extremely comfortable with him and he didn't leave me with unanswered questions...

    I understand. This whole thing has me very depressed as well. I'm hoping as I get the hang of it, it will be easier and I wont be so sad...or mad depending on the day..     I wish my house was all gluten free. I do have my own cabinet of food and my own cabinet of pots, pans etc. But they have their stuff throughout the rest of the kitchen. I have 2 little ones, 6 and 7 who just make a mess with everything. I tell them all the time to take their gluten smeared fingers away from me. I'm going to see a nutritionist next...

    If it makes you feel any better, I feel like a freak too. Its been about a month of gluten free for me and its not getting any easier for me. Just more frustrating. I wish I had something to say to help you, but I just feel your pain.....
