  2. well, has anyone ever gotten sick, right at the end of a meal from maybe accidently being glutened? I was at the end of my meal, very bad stomach cramps, had to run to the restroom. Is that even possible? I really need to learn how to check labels, for the hidden glutens I think...

  8. Hi, actually, did do the test, but it did show up negative. Although, we accidently spilled some of the solution, I think its called buffer? but, I dont know if that messed it up or not, so, I dont know if it was accurate. I am in the U.S., but, I was able to cantact the actual manufacturer, and I was given information about an organics company from Australia...

  11. hi dixonpete, I am back to being gluten free, may I ask, is that how you realized you were gluten intolerant? Im just coming to that conclusion because I get very sick, when I eat foods that contain gluten. And, since I obviousely feel better off of it, what can it hurt? Im at the point where I realize getting a diagnosis from a doctor really isnt that necessesary...
  12. Hello all, been a couple of weeks since I have been here. Went to doctor, was told my gallbladder needs to com out, that along with my pancreas, liver, are all inflammed. So, Im starving to death! I am to be eating very, very careful, trying to ease the gallbladder a bit, trying to avoid the surgery until at least nov. 1 when the insurance starts again..anyway...
  13. Well, been dying since last Monday, finally found out my gallbladder needs to come out. Is there a connection between celiacs and gallbladder problems?
  14. Hi RiceGuy! You know what...about a couple of months ago, I actually did try to go completely gluten free for about 2 weeks, and I started to feel better. Well, I soon realized that, I had to be consuming gluten for the blood test to be accurate, so, I ate gluten. And, I swear to God, by the time I finished my food, I started to feel a sore forming on my...
  15. Hello all. You know what. Im going to just try to stick with a gluten free diet, and see how that goes. It been years since diagnosed with IBS, did another endo and upper GI last year, that did show "flattening of the mucosa" (sp), I was also diagnosed with rhumatoid arthritis, almost non existent vit d levels, but, not one doctor can give me a diagnosis...
  16. Has anyone been diagnosed, either by a doctor, or themselves, just by doing a gluten free diet? and if so, is there a time frame, where you are suppose to stay gluten free, to help determine if in fact, it was the gluten causing the problems?
  17. Hi Fiddle-Faddle, and BINGO! you are exactly right!!! I am so sick of seeing doctors, same ol story, and always being sick. And I really dont think, that since there are so many falst neg. anyways, that I am just going to go gluten free, and if I feel better, GREAT!! how can that hurt?? if problems persist, then I look for more answers. Its just sooo annoying...
  18. Hello! I dont think it tested for total Iga, because I read on their that some people that might be IGA deficiant, will not get a correct reading. I figure that since we spilled a tiny bit, even though I really dont think it was enough to matter, that Im not going to be too concerned. Im just going to try the gluten free diet, and someday if I can afford...
  19. Well, I did the test tonight, and, I pretty much think I messed it up. First, as we were getting it around, my husband spilled the buffer, a little bit dropped out, then, after we put the test strip in, bumped it a couple of times... so... I did get a control test line showing, waited the alloted time frame, and according to the test strip I would be considered...

  21. Hi ECD! the Biocard test kit, is an at home test. I stumbled upon it while googling celiac tests. Turns out, its highly recommended in Canada. In fact, if you find their website, ( I cant remember the link off hand), but Im sure you can find it easily by googling Biocard celiac test, anyway, it seems very reliable. They have news clips and stuff about it...
  22. Hello, just wanted to give an update... just out of curiosity. I ordered the Biocard home celiac test. I should be getting it anyday now. I checked with the company I ordered it from, and it takes about 10 days to get here. I have been eating gluten, and very sick of that. I have now come to the difinitive conclusion, that I really dont need any more tests...
  23. Hello, Im not trying to hi jack this thread, just wanted to jump in here, I have been diagnosed as vitamin d deficient for almost 2 years now, as a matter of fact, my endo. said its almost non existant, but, guess what, never did anything about it. They never tested for anything else, except maybe iron, and I believe that is ok. Just thought that was interesting...
  24. Hello again, I have posted several different issues, as I am on a mission to find out if celiac or gluten sensitivity is even the issue, but, I was wondering if this symptom could have been from possible celiac: about 1 1/2 yrs ago, I had a GI bleed, that they never could figure out why. I bled for about 4 days, went to the er, they did a abdominal ct scan...
