  1. Hello all, I will call the formula manufacturers. I also did not know that gluten could be passed through the breast milk. I will insist they both get checked, I hope the doctors listen! we all know how that is! I guess I sounded a bit harsh in my first post, maybe I should ellaberate more. The baby wasnt suckling, and so they didnt keep trying, so, after...
  2. I have a question here, I am in the process of being tested myself for celiacs, and, after all this researching, I believe its possible my daughters could have celiac as well. But, my immediate concern, is my new grandson. He is just now two months old, has lots of stomach issues, but, since he is formula fed and breast fed, is it impossible for him to have...
  3. Hi, just thought I would mention some observations I have noticed for myself, maybe someone might have some insight? but...about 3 weels ago or so, I decided to go gluten free, to see if I was gluten intolerant, but then I realized for accurate tests, I should be eating gluten, so, after 16 days gluten free, I started eating gluten foods again, and, almost...
  4. I am going to have a blood test for celiac, what should I be eating for a proper diagnosis? I think I have read somewhere, that you should be eating wheat bread, but is a bowl of mini wheats cereal a day ok? should I include more wheat?
  5. Hi, funny you mentioned about the change of color of tissue, I also remembered reading about "tan colored" biopsy, but I was biopsied for microscopic colitis, which came back as negative. I am going to get a different doc, but right now Im uninsured, and these tests were done last May, 2007. This doctor never told me nothing, except continue Prilosec and...
  6. Hell, does anyone know what this means: "Somewhat flattened mucosa was seen within the TI , Terminal ileum." That was in my report, and I was wondering if that could possibly be related to celiac, although, during my follow up visit with the doc, he said that was normal. Just curious...
  7. Hello, still researching on where to order tests. I found a website, direct labs, where I can order tests, and take the actual order to the lab near my home, in this case a labcorp, for testing. It sounds reasonable. They offer two different tests for celiac. One is the Tissue Transglutaminase Antibody Assay (tTG) and the other is the Anti-gliadin Antibody...
  8. Hi! well, my pathology reports states that there were biopsys done, and they read like this: No pathological alteration. Negative for colitis. It also states that there is "somewhat flattened mucosa was seen within the TI. Dont know what that means. To sum it up, it states I have diverticulosis, significant bile in the stomach, but basically says other than...
  9. Also, forgot to add, I am Vitamin D deficiant, and have a lung nodule, but not one doc can tell me why. Could the vitamin D, be because of celiac?
  10. First I would like to say hello to everyone, I am a new member, and hoping this site may be able to help with some issues. My first question is, should I go with Entero Labs stool testing for Celiac, or, I found OptimumHealthResource has a home blood test for celiac. I found them through a website, and also the Southern Arizona Celiac Support website mentioned...
