  1. Hi Ken, I know this is an old thread, but I am truly fasinated by this, and you also have me wondering and asking questions. Van Gogh has always fasinated me, his life and paintings. And I see a strong link between celiac and his mental and physical life. And I tend to agree with your theory. It is very strange also that he did paint so many pictures...

  10. Hi I am wondering if anyone knows if there is an alternative to donuts?... I find I am missing them so much... and I am wondering if there are any recipes out there?   11. As I am fairly new to going gluten free, and stumbling occassionally on contaminations... My advise may not be helpfull.... But I am really not having any problems with wanting to eat the wrong stuff... it amazes me at what I can eat!.... and how much better I feel when I eat the right stuff... And it's like christmas to me, when I find new gluten free...
  12. Thanks peter for this information also... this is good to know that I may still have gastric reactions to food, this makes sense, that it will take a lot more time to feel a full recovery... I have just been so impressed and over the moon with happiness at the vast difference I have already had.... especially no feeling like being punched in the stomach...
  13. Thank you everyone.... I hadn't thought that the grill could be contaminated... We have cooked a lot of marinated items on it in the past.. So that could be it!~... I guess with time, you get use to thinking where things could have been that could be contaminated etc... Another incident happened just yesterday that had me stopping and thinking......
  14. I can only tell you my own personal experience with how I delt and got through, and am now able to live a fairly pain free life of my back.... For three years I was flat on my back , they tried traction , physio, and chiro, injections of steroids into the joins and all kinds of tests like lumber discograms etc.... I had a full body cast.... Everything...
  15. My goodness gracious me......... I am newley diagnosed at long last with celiac... I really feel that I had suffered with it all my life... and reading these pages , every major health issue I have had in my life all seems to be related.. this is so weird.... When I was only 26 years old... I ruptured 3 of my lower lumber disc...but my major problem...

It was the servere depression that finaly got the attention of a doctor, who found it very easy to recognise I had celiac...My depression and anxiety were so bad...I couldn't watch the news as it would have me stressing so much and upset.   17. Hi, I am also having the same problems with weight..... In one week of my glutin free diet, I have lost 4lbs , which I can't afford to loose.... I am now down to 80lbs. I have based my diet on chicken and I eat alot of chicken skin and advocados, glutin free cakes. but before going glutin free I was eating rubbish foods like donuts and things with cream...
