  1. I ate some chicken by Tyson last night that was "100% natural." But by this afternoon it was obvious that SOMETHING has given me a reaction. That's all I can think that it might be, and when I checked the ingredients, it said it contained both broth and spices. Does anyone know if these have been stated to be gluten-free or not? I can't find anything about...
  2. I was going by what I read on Triumph Dining's blog about it. Triumph says "...there are no longer any Campbell soups available in the U.S. that are gluten-free." I also noticed shopping last night that a Campbells soup that was previously gluten free is gluten-free no longer so you may want to double check.
  3. Someone? Anyone? Please. Even if all you can answer is the question about testing, that would be awesome.
  4. There are quite a few new gluten-free items on Campbell's updated list, but the downside is that now NONE of their soups are gluten-free: Open Original Shared Link
  5. I know I have posted quite a few topics on this forum lately. I am still trying to figure all of this out and need help, so I hope there are some people out there who are willing to answer all my questions. First of all, let me give a quick background on why I think I very well may have Celiac. About seven or eight years ago, I went through a time...
  6. I forgot that I was also tested for H. Pylori along with an ultrasound for ulcers. I was tested for blood sugar, also, but it came back fine, much to my surprise since I had diagnosed myself with hypoglycemia for about ten years. The only thing any of them tested me for that came back positive was low iron. My last CBC showed slight anemia, but not enough...
  7. Just out of curiosity, how long did you eat gluten before you were finally diagnosed with Celiac disease (by a doctor or a self diagnosis)? What all were you tested for before finally finding that gluten was the problem? I am still not 100% sure that I have a gluten intolerance, but I'm fairly sure. I have been to the doctor on and off for the last seven...

    ARCHIVED Snacks

Open Original Shared Link are gluten-free. That's what I always eat.
  9. Funny. I had a friend one time say, "So, you have a glutton intolerance?" I cracked up and then had to explain to her why it was so funny.
  10. I haven't been able to get ahold of the company to find out if this is gluten-free or not. Anyone know?
  11. That is great! Thanks! I noticed on the English version that it doesn't state the danger in spices and stuff like that. Is that something you also have to tell them?
  12. What I mean is more like your body is getting rid of toxins or cleansing itself. I am breaking out more than usual, got a sore in my mouth, stuff like that. Just wondering if it's common to have some side effects at first until your body regulates itself, while you are in the transition phase.
  13. When you first started going gluten-free, did you go through a phase where your body acted as if it was detoxing?
  14. Several years ago, when I was having some really severe problems with my stomach, the doctors did a blood test to see if it was ulcers. The blood test came back negative and the doctor basically told me he didn't know what it could be (typical response most times I've been to the doc--I know most of them thought it was all in my head). He did recommend that...
  15. Does anyone know if the rice is generally gluten-free? I really need to get those cards. Even using them, I am dreading having to explain the whole thing. It's so awkward.
  16. I use Sport Beans. They are gluten-free.
  17. Funny! Love the bit about cookies/rice crisps.
  18. Thanks. I have also had good experiences with Chili's and PF Chang's. It's very sweet of you to work with your girlfriend to find places she can eat. My boyfriend is also very good about this and I love him for it!
  19. That's the one I used when I made a crust myself. I have one of Bette Hagman's recipe books, too, but I don't believe I've ever tried her pizza crust recipe. Her pie crust recipe is delicious, though, so maybe I should try it. Or maybe I should just make pizza on a pie crust!
  20. Thanks for the responses! There are a lot of good ideas here. My boyfriend's family, especially his sister, is always wanting to make sure they cook food I can eat, and now it's going to be WAY more difficult since I found out it's gluten intolerance and not just a wheat allergy. I know they will want to cater to my needs, but I hate the thought of them...
  21. It may not be, especially if there is no one in your household to take advantage of the glutenous food that comes with the other packages. I'm ok with there being gluten-laden food in the house as long as I don't eat it, so my family takes advantage of the cookies, processed meats, etc. that are usually included in the packages.
  22. Thought I'd share the letter I stuck in the mail today to our local PF Chang's:
  23. If someone invites you over for dinner, how do you explain your intolerance to them? If you are with someone and they offer you food, how do you kindly refuse or ask the ingredients without offending them? What if someone insists on having you over and wants to make a gluten-free meal for you? Where do you even begin to explain to them what you can and...
  24. Mine swelled up a couple of years ago, and so did my spleen. My spleen had ruptured before but not been removed so it is a somewhat weak area of my body. They tested me twice for mono and both times it came back negative.
  25. I am relatively new to living strictly gluten-free; however I have lived wheat free for the last seven years and so I have tried a fair amount of gluten-free products during that time. In my somewhat-limited experience, here are my top three's: WORST: 1. Chebe cinnamon roll mix -- my excitement turned to disappointment with the first bite 2. Every...
