    ARCHIVED Do They Exist?

When I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, My GI Dr. told me to go on line and learn all about the disease. He had nothing to tell me other then to not eat gluten and that I could learn about it all on line. Is this what they all do?
  2. Thank you!
  3. I am unable to go 100% gluten-free in my kitchen and I thought I was being safe. What thinks should I be doing to keep myself safe? Some ideas?

    ARCHIVED Bread

Can any one tell me of a good store bought bread that isn't a crumbly mess when I toast it and put butter on it?
  5. What is the reaction people are getting from there cosmetics? Is that what might be making me sick. Like maybe my lotion, if it gets in my mouth some how when I'm eating?
  6. I read about a kit that can detect gluten in your food, before you eat it. It takes 10 minutes and it is supposed to be very accurate. I was wandering if anyone has heard of these tests. And if so, Is it a good idea to get. I just can't figure out were the gluten keeps coming from. Also. My husband saw on Animal Planet, that this person has a dog who sniffs...
  7. I am not at my computer and I don't have my spell check. Please excuse my spelling. I am having really bad Hemroids, from having diarrhia all day. I don't know what to do about them. I also don'e know what to make of the yellow cloude surounding my diaffhia in the toilet. I am so sorry for the croseness of this post. I just don't know what to think about...
  8. I have a hard time still with my shopping trips. I make my list and go on line to make sure that my favorite brands are gluten free. If they are not I look for the name of one that is. I don't have a phone that goes on line but my hubby does, and I have to say that when he is with me at the store it is nice to have. Most times he isn't though. So just plan...
  9. Sounds like Gluten might just not be the problem. Or at least not Celiac. Some people should just stay away from it anyway. If you don't have a problem with Gluten, Then I hope they find the problem for you. You sure have been compliant with the Dr.s orders. Good luck.
  10. My Doc had me eat gluten until after my scope and biopsy. He said that he would then be able to get a true reading of the biopsy. He said if I had not been eating gluten, That he might get a wrong negative result. Sounds like you were gluten free at the time of your tests.
  11. You said there isn't a Gluten free section in your stores around you. Then you should write a letter and let them know They could lose your business. Even some Large corporations really want to try to make us happy. For now you might be able to find a health food store near you. If you have a Trader Joe's, They have LOTS of stuff gluten-free. Also I make...
  12. That's it. I am going to write the company. I think we all should. This is not OK. If they want to say in business, They need all of us. If they start to lose the people who use celiac.com Then they are losing a large part of there customer base.
  13. It's not just you. My friend has the same problem with Amy's. It sucks because they really have some great stuff.
  14. I Went out and got some things from the store in a hurry last night and didn't even think to look and see if the yogurt I got was gluten-free. Now I can't find a phone # for the company and I Put in an Email last night but haven't heard back yet. I am being a little impatient I know. But I really want to eat it. I don't have much else in the house that is...
