  1. What do you guys use? Right now I am using Penzey's and they say it is gluten free but they do make soup bases that contain gluten though apparently at a different facility. Still, you can never be paranoid enough when it comes to gluten CC :/ so I figure I should call them. Anyways, what does everyone else use?
  2. My GI doc said I had EE in April of 2009, but after this most recent EGD he's not sure. He said since I only have high eosinophils in my lower esophagus, that could be caused by either EE or GERD or something else. Reflux meds don't help so I have to assume it's food allergy/intolerance related. I recently had a food patch test that said I was highly allergic...
  3. Depends on how sensitive to gluten you are. I'm very sensitive so I would get rid of them if I was in your position. Some people do fine with only washing them though.
  4. I need some dishwashing soap and hand soap that is gluten free with no CC and also corn free. I'm having trouble because it seems like lots of brands have either one or the other. I am very sensitive to both corn and gluten so it's a real problem. Any recommendations? Thank you.
  5. I'm wondering about Safeway's gluten free products that they list and if anyone here uses them on a regular basis. I'm very sensitive so I'm nervous about the possibilities of cross contamination or being made in facilities where gluten-containing products are made, but they have a large selection of gluten free items and it would be nice if I could buy...
  6. I'm wondering about their products, particularly their coconut products. Their website has information on all the steps they take to prevent cross contamination and they have listings of what is gluten free and such. Still, one can never be too careful. Does anyone eat their products, and have you ever had a reaction to anything?
  7. I've been gluten free for 2 years and 3 months but for about a year and a half awhile I've been feeling worse. I had an EGD and the doc found eosinophils in my lower esophagus. I've suspected I may be intolerant to very small levels of gluten so I'm trying to completely eliminate them. Would the high eosinophils be a sign that I may still be getting glutened...
  8. Does anyone know of brands of hand soap and dish washing soap that are both gluten free and also produced in facilities where nothing containing gluten is produced? I'm really sensitive to small amounts of gluten so I'm trying to take out any possibility of cross contamination. Any product suggestions?
  9. So lack of fats causes sludge? I can't eat foods high in fat because it makes my stomach hurt and gives me diarrhea. That's why I think there's something wrong with my gallbladder.
  10. I had an ultrasound done on my abdomen and it revealed a small polyp and either gallstones or sludge. So then I got a HIDA scan done, but it was normal. I'm confused because it seems like if the HIDA is normal then the ultrasound should be as well. What does this mean? Do other celiacs/gluten intolerant people have issues with their gallbladder?
  11. According to their website, all their products have no gluten in their ingredients. The pdf has all their products and what allergens and such they contain.
  12. I emailed them and here is there reply: "Please be assured that the Taste of Thai product line is produced in a facility that is gluten free." :/ that sort of answers my question but it could also be interpreted to mean that things with gluten are produced in that facility, but they clean them and such to say they are gluten free. Argh. Looks like...
  13. Anyone ever tried these? They appear to all be gluten free and have a pretty good variety of products, but does anyone know if they're all produced in a dedicated gluten-free facility or are they made on shared equipment? I'm really hoping the coconut milk is ok because I was using Thai Kitchen but found out they don't have a dedicated gluten-free facility...
  14. Anyone else? Everyone who is as sensitive to gluten as I am, what do you do about meat?
  15. I believe I may be getting cross contamination from the processed meat I buy (Hormel and Jennie O) but it seems like all the brands, even if they say they have gluten free products, also produce them in facilities with products that contain gluten. Are there some brands that are completely gluten free? Should I start buying meat only from a butcher or the...
  16. So I've been gluten-free (and many other things too) for quite some time and though its helped some, I don't feel that great given how long I've been on this diet and how strict I've adhered to it. It got me thinking that maybe I should change all my kitchen utensils but that would be somewhat expensive. What do ya'll think about changing pots and pans...
  17. No not food poisoning, just made my stomach hurt. And since then my stomach has been more irritable than it was before.
  18. I ate some bad apple sauce in May and my stomach has felt worse since then. By that I mean things I could eat before I ate the bad apple sauce I couldn't eat afterwards.
  19. No I am not getting any gluten from anything. And I've cut out lots of food that gives me problems. The problem is that the list keeps growing. My stomach feels worse now than it did 6 months ago.
  20. Is there a link between the two diseases? I've been gluten free for 18 months and the past 6 I have felt worse, especially my stomach. It gets so irritable sometimes, even brushing my teeth I have to worry. Since August I've become very thirsty all the time and I urinate many times per day. Also the muscle spasms are back and sometimes my feet and hands...
  21. Madhava or Wholesome Sweeteners. Hopefully you are able to eat them. Agave syrup is really good!
  22. Have you tried agave syrup yet? I don't have any problems with it in moderation. But if I eat too much of (which is easy to do lol) then it will kinda bother me. Stuff like honey, maple syrup and brown rice syrup irritate my stomach so agave syrup is pretty much it as far as sweeteners I can eat.
  23. No I am fine with soy. I just want to know if other people have problems with sugar cane, because obviously before I had all my problems with gluten I had no problem with sugar.
  24. Since going gluten I can't stuff with sugar like sweets or something, but I eat a cereal that has evaporated cane juice and I'm just fine. I tried a soy milk with organic sugar cane and it gave me digestive problems. Is a reaction to sugar cane and products from it something anyone else has experienced?
