  1. Been gluten free for 14 months, and still having some trouble with digestive issues, joint/muscle pain, headaches, and fatigue. The past month or so I've started to be extremely thirsty all the time and my mouth is very dry and lips very chapped. I've also started urinating at least 5-6 times per day because I try and drink enough water because I'm thirsty...
  2. My B-12 was actually high. Probably because I've been taking a multivitamin that has B-12 so its ok. Basically the hematologist told me I have a low platelet count and I'm positive for platelet antibodies, but my platelets are at 117,000 so its nothing to worry about. He isn't going to do anything else. I'm supposed to see him at the end of Sep. Should...
  3. My hematologist said by vitamin B-12 and folic acid are normal. He didn't think I was anemic and it doesn't seem like he is going to do anything else. What should I do? I am so sick and frustrated by uncaring idiot doctors who just give up even when I still feel bad.
  4. He did test me for Vitamin D. It was on the low side of normal. I was hoping he would've tested me for iron or B12 though, or any others. Hopefully the hematologist will do this. Or at least I'll tell him he needs to do it
  5. Ive been gluten free for almost a year and I have improved in many ways but I have this overpowering fatigue and lethargy. Basically everything just wears me out. I feel tired all the time. Also, when I try to do any exercise or am out in the sun for awhile, in addition to getting tired easily I will get god awful headaches. I tried going to my primary...
  6. So what vitamins or supplements do I need to get while being gluten free? I know magnesium cuz of constipation, but what else should I get?
  7. I just saw that my rheumatologist awhile back did a Q-TSH 3rd generation test and my results were 1.96. So does that rule out thyroid problems for me? Again, I would like some input.
  8. Should I go see an endocrinologist and get my thyroid tested? I don't think any of the doctors I've seen have ever tested that. Would it be worthwhile?
  9. I've been gluten free since late June 2009 but still having joint and muscle pain. Its not as bad as it was (it was nearly unbearable) but its still there. To those of you who had joint and muscle pain, how long did it take before it went away? Are the pains just because my body is weak now and I need to slowly start exercising again?
  10. I need a multivitamin that is gluten, dairy, corn, egg, seed, and nut free. Any suggestions?
  11. Oh yes, I had terrible heartburn for about 5 months (felt like someone was sitting on my chest all day :/ ) and dairy would always make it worse. Going gluten free and dairy free really helped that. So I would suggest you stop taking the Prevacid (I was taking Nexium for awhile and I know that stuff isn't cheap not to mention it didn't help) and give up...
  12. Greetings all. I've had health problems, including joint and muscle pain, abdominal pain, constipation, fatigue, and muscle spasms, starting back in July '08 and I saw a variety of doctors who weren't able to do anything for me. It wasn't until my allergist suggested that I go gluten free that I've felt better, which was in June 09. However, I'm still...
