Thank you! this was very helpful for me! You do have to stick with this diet forever but it does get better! You will start to see improvements in everything, even things you thought had nothing to do with your gluten allergy! Once you learn how to make the foods you like without gluten you wont really feel like your missing out at all and you will not care that you cant go back to gluten!

I would suggest not eating out to start with. Yes there are places that have gluten free menu's, however, untill you are sure about the preparation i would avoid them in general. I know how you feel! I had severe stomach pain for over 8 years and i went from doctor to doctor desperate for an answer...the pain really controlled my life! I found my current doctor and she told me that it sounded like a gluten allergy and she told me to eliminate gluten from my life for a while and see what happened.
