  1. UGH ! Yesterday ! And I have been doing sooo good about paranoid purchases(thats what my hubby calls them when we go out to eat lol)Went to eat where its normally "safe" I have always gotten a bean and rice bowl and never had a problem with it.. Got corn chips this time though(suppsed to be 100% corn and salt)...ugh Wrong choice ... I know i need to eat...

  5. Yes you may want to try nightshades too ! I was sick for what seemed like forever!(party pooper i am huh lol).. It is going to be try it and see kind of thing, sometimes i can eat something and be fine, somedays i feel like a ate a flourfilled cake ! Its hard but you can do it you will find a few foods that you can always depend on ...Be sure you are not...
  6. Thing that helped me was the "if ya cant kill it naked witha spear or pick it off a tree-DONT EAT IT" diet ! LOL..Nothing added, preservatives etc. Organic if u can..Def cut out soy(did the same thing to me), maybe dairy too.. I was a HUGE cereal lover before my dx, and got super excited about the gluten free cereals, but in my first few months had 2 cut...
  7. Well I havent had any dairy since I first posted this, and i have had a big drop in my err, "issues".. So i think dairy was the problem ! Of course i have also ate strict no additive no nothin food in the past few days as well, so i feel better from that too i am sure ~ Have a date with the hubby this weekend ! So hopefully that goes well, we will be eating...

  11. I started off taking the wafer and the juice(baptist ya'll ! ) ..Because i wasnt really sure how i felt not being able to take the bread of the body.. But after I prayed about i realized, God allowed me to be a Celiac, right? Then do u honestly think he cares if I dont take the bread, that will make me sick for the rest of the day and the NEXT !   12. Thanks !!! I appreciate it ! I believe i will try dairy first, i love almond milk anyways ! Another question is , when u have problem with lactose too, and say u eat something with milk in it ( just say a piece of choc candy)..will the effects be like if i ate gluten ?? I know it prob just depends on how bad ur body reacts and everypne is different..just...
  13. So i have been gluten free for a year and feeling much better(finallllly).. But i still have some issues, not near as bad as eating gluten and sleeping on the bathroom floor for 2 days, but cramps, upset sour stomach and gas that would clear a room full of firemen LOL My brother is lactose intol, so i am going to start there, and i also eat alot of corn...

I've had the same issues..One day the gluten free bread is ok with my guts, the next you would think i ate a barley,wheat and rye sandwich lol..One thing i have found that helped when i first got diagnosed and went gluten free was limiting my diet to nothing but natural..my doc said, to quote " If you cant kill it with a knife or pick it off a tree dont eat...

    Ok so I have always been nervous about getting pregnant , and now even more so ! I have a few concerns.. . How much harder is it going to be for me to even GET preggo . how much harder is it going to be on me being a Celiac patient then a normal pregnancy. . what about my child? I just feel like if i learned they were affected I would feel awful...
  17. My sweet sweet mother bought be some Gluten free "mini" muffins, should be Micro , they were tiny ! Anyway I forgot who the manufacturer is. So I was working on the road today and decided to try ! WRONG ! i swear it felt like 5 minutes after it hit my gut the gas bloating and cramps started ! Scary part is in addition to saying Gluten Free on the package...

  19. where do you buy Udi's? i live in a rural place so i am pretty much limited to Kroger gluten free stuff, occasionally if i head to the "big City" there is a Earth Foods i can shop at. I absolutely LOVE Bobs Red Mill gluten free corn bread- i am a bread LOVER, i used to live off toast and cheezits so this gluten free thing is hard lol

I feel like i have taken all the precautions i can, I even stopped using the wooden spoons/ cutting boards that I use for my husbands Gluten containing foods because I thought i may get some mixed in with mine. Like I said my guts feel better its just the lack of energy and dizziness that are killin...

  22. I am so worn out ! Dizziness, restlessness, I feel like even if i could sleep for a week i would still be tired, i feel like i have no strength , even the tone in my arms is gone ! Been gluten-free for about 2 months and I am so dizzy if i turn my head qiuck to look at something i half ways black out and see purple ! Is this normal? I know everyones healing...

  24. Hi everybody ! My name is Rachel, I grew up in FL now living in TN. Here is my story. A sick child from birth and a family history of "weak" stomachs my parents never really thought anything of my ability to vomit across the room at a young age lol. Constant stomach issues were treated by saltine crackers sprite and never eating during any get together...
