  1. If you eat clean (gluten free) the symtoms will eventually get alot better. You just have to have patience. I was still getting symtoms 3 months after my biopsy. But its been 6 months now and my gluten levels have gone down from 18 to 5.7. (7 being normal for a celiac. 1 or 2 is normal for someone without celiac. So just hang in there. For awhile don't go...
  2. You will not know if you have Celiac unless you have a biopsy of your stomach. If it comes back positive then you deal with it. You may have other issues. I showed my allergist my IG tests and he said he didn't care what it said. Blood work and the biopsy was the only thing he wanted to see. I too have had all the tests in the book. It took 4 years of...
  3. I used to feel shakey and discovered I wasn't eating enough protein. You should make an appointment with a Dietician, preferably one that is an expert in Celiac. It has taken me 6 months to deal with the diet and it took that long for my gut to heal. I don't know how long it has been for you but when you have the biopsy and it is positive for Celiac than...
  4. Your husband does not understand the serious nature of your disease. You and your husband need to go to a celia meeting and maybe he would understand what its like. In my area there is a meeting called 'PANIC SESSION'. Contact your celiac association in your area.
  5. This has happened to me many times. Eat before you go and order a lovely salad. You would be very surprised at what a rest. can do for you. Isn't the point of going is to be with your loved ones? Let them enjoy the food and you can enjoy there company.
  6. Sometimes it takes 6 months before your stomach heals. So you will be having symtoms even at the 3d month. It is overwhelming at first and some days you think I cannot do this....it will get better. It has taken me 6 months for healing and now I am about 98%. Food just went right through me.....now its so good, I'm now reading all my cookbooks and trying...
  7. has not set their status

  8. It takes time for your small intestine to heal. For me it took 5 1/2 months before I felt 99%. I was also dairy intolerant and after 5 1/2 moinths I can eat dairy now. So Good luck , its a waiting game but worth it.
  9. Just Google Gluten Free Foods and you will get tons of lists
  10. I have a list of condiments. Can you tell me if I should be worried about any of these. Beef Broth, Bar B Q sauce, salsa, Mollases, corn syrup, icing sugar, white vinegar, tomatoe paste, malt vinegar, chocolate and also Presco Wine, Lemonade Concentrate, Lemoncello, quava juice. I have my food down but don;t know if Gluten is snecking into my diet from...
