  1. I had a recent cross-contamination issue, and it turns out I'm a lot more sensitive than originally thought. My doctor has told me I need to now be more strict with my diet, and I'm not supposed to eat anything that has a risk of CC. Are there certain brands I can trust to be 100% free of CC? Are there any brands that only make gluten-free items?
  2. I've still had minor digestive issues after being gluten-free for a few months, so I wasn't allowed to have casein either as I had a suspected intolerance to it. Doctor finally said that it doesn't seem to be making any difference, so he told me I could have dairy again (but in small amounts), but he wants me to be more strict with my gluten-free diet...

  5. Thanks so much for this thread. I just moved to Chicago a month ago for school and I was wondering about places I could go to eat.
  6. Breakfast: Coffee with soy milk creamer, scrambled egg Lunch: Amy's Kitchen Spicy Chilli with corn tortillas Dinner: I'm planning on making some gluten-free pasta with broccoli, olives, salami and olive oil

  8. Yeah, I know a lot of people who have had similar issues. I'm glad the situation was worked out though ... my new rooommate is so much better. Her friend is actually celiac so she knows all about it and everything.
  9. I was hoping to get some meal ideas. I'm living on-campus, and although I have a full kitchen in my dorm, I'm looking for suggestions for things that are both easy to make and budget-friendly. When I first went gluten-free, I was all about the gluten-free breads, pastas, etc but I'm finding it gets kind of expensive and Whole Foods isn't as close to where...
  10. Hi everyone *waves* I recently had kind of a sticky situation, and I'm wondering if anyone has had anything similar happen. I transferred to a new college out-of-state, and opted to live on-campus for the summer and in the meantime, find an apartment. I'm living in an apartment-style dorm so I have a full kitchen and such, so I'm able to prepare my own...
