  1. I just bought True Snacks with peanut, almond and Pecan....brown rice syrup too. There is no info on their site, and I'm about to try some...but I'm afraid. Does anyone know?
  2. Ewwww! Yes, I would have had a heart attack! I did not end up being the "train wreck" that I thought I'd be last night! Whew...I did dodge a bullet! God had mercy on me, and believe me I said a prayer:)
  3. Yes, dairy and soy free. I also react to corn. And now I find that potatoes make pain come back. We should stay in touch with the same intolerances. I also can't have anything high in fructose or anything that has been fermented. You? Yes, I was doing okay with Amy's mac n cheese...then wham! I purchased some Amy's from 2 places and both the ones from...
  4. I am tired of getting no answers here in Indianapolis, so I'm thinking about making an appt with Dr. Fasano in MD. He is the leading expert and researcher in celiac disease and gluten sensitivity. Has anyone else seen him?
  5. I recently made my house gluten free, because I'm very sensitive. I am no cook, nor do I like it. My kids and hubby are TOTALLY BORED with our existing food choices. I need easy stuff that I can cook up quickly. Any good books for that out there?
  6. I think that I've been glutened by Amys mac n cheese a couple of times recently. Anyone else?
  7. Hi. Recently bought Quinoa cereal to replace oatmeal that I can't have. It's okay, but I don't think that I'm feeling great. Maybe it's something else. It looks like it's made safely, but I don't know. Has anyone else reacted to this or that brand?
  8. Thank you so much! Hopefully one of these will make my kids happy!
  9. I live in Indiana. I have not seen those brands. Did you buy them in a grocery or Whole Foods? Or was it an online order?
  10. My hubby loves brie, bread, grapes and wine. I am unable to eat all 4, but I'd like to find a good gluten-free baguette bread that would go nicely for him? Man, I miss that stuff!
  11. Hi. Since our household went gluten free, I've had to find subs for my kids favorite foods. They've rejected all gluten-free mac n cheese so far. I've tried Annie's gluten-free kind AND Annie's deluxe gluten-free. I've also tried Amy's frozen gluten-free df sf that you microwave. I haven't seen any others? My son also loves the Annie's org O's from...
  12. Ok. Our house is entirely gluten free now, because I'm so sensitive. So my hubby went to Whole Foods last night for me to grocery shop, and I didn't realize that he bought the Applegate Chicken Nuggets for the kids that contain gluten. What was he thinking right? So, I pulled them out and made them for the kids for lunch today... before I realized that...
  13. Well, that's where I might be. My problem lies in the fact that I went gluten free before my biopsies and blood tests. I have all of the symptoms of of severe celiac disease, but with no positive results. I have developed other autoimmune diseases that appear to flare up with gluten exposure. I am intolerant of almost all foods. I have severe neuromuscular...
  14. Oh yeah, and celiac disease can cause tooth enamel problems...so I'm learning the hard way. So the cavities might be an issue from weakening tooth enamel, combined with any sugary stuff or juices being able to settle in the weaknesses. I think that few dentist know what to look for in celiac disease, but I found a dentist that is well-informed of it.
  15. Hi. I have discovered that I am super-sensitive to gluten, so we have eliminated gluten from our household. I have a husband and 2 small sons who tested negative for celiac disease through blood and biopsies. Both of my children still have some possible symptoms. I am concerned about my 5 yr old. He has always been very sensitive to food dyes and nitrates...
  16. I don't know if I'll be much help, as I am still trying to muddle through my own issues. I was "unofficially" diagnosed with Celiac disease. My blood tests were negative, and my biopsy was negative. However, I had already been on a gluten free diet for a few months thinking that I might just have a gluten allergy. I had the genetics test done, that came...
  17. Hi all! I find it hard to stay connected on this site with my small children, so thanks for being here when I need you! Okay, so I asked my whole family to be gluten free. It took a while to get all of the gluten out of the house. I'd still say that there are a few things to get rid of (ie. cat food, chec...litter, toothepaste etc), but most of it...
  18. For those of you who need testing... I tested negative for RA a few times in the past year. It wasn't until I saw a good Rheum doc that the test showed positive. She said that most doctors will do a "generalized" single blood test for RA (with all RA types mixed into one test). She said that she never does that, and will automatically run a test for...
  19. Sorry RiceGuy. I forgot to comment on this. If I could eat coconut without feeling sick...I might give it a try. However regarding the proteins, part of my degree was involving lots of nutrition classes. Now, I am not saying that I'm right, but I'll just tell you what I learned. There are NON-ESSENTIAL amino acid proteins, that can be eaten alone. For...
  20. Hi RiceGuy. Are you an engineer or scientist...saw your quote? I will give the potato thing a try, but I want to nail down the effect that having all gluten out of the house has on me first. I hesitate to even start taking the drugs, because I don't want to be confused about why I'm feeling better...but I might cave in on that.
  21. Oh, and I forgot...nose ulcers and facial flushing are also symptoms of lupus. I have nose ulcers, but I had no idea that I had them until this recent doctor. They didn't bother me at all. All other docs missed it. Mouth ulcers also symtom, but I didn't have any. I hope that you guys going through testing either really don't have it...and if you do.....
  22. Chili...symptoms of RA for me are joint pain all over, but sort of burning pain in hands and feet. I know that it can cause surrounding tissue to hurt, so I hurt all over. As far as Lupus, aching all over, sun sensitivity, rash and patchy skin coloring. Again, Lupus was borderline, but not positive for me. I have symptoms of myositis too, but not positive...
  23. Hi. I saw you all talking about gluten withdrawal. What is it?
  24. I have a 5 yr old son and a 1 yr old son. My 1 yr old just had his second scope, and my 5 yr old just had his first. It was easy. It WAS more stressful on us parents to put our kids through anything. The one yr old doesn't know what's going on, but the 5 yr old is a different story. We explained to him what would happen in detail...omitting the part about...
  25. Thank you so much you guys. My hubby was out of town on business, and then he was busy this weekend trying to prepare for meetings today and tomorrow. The kids also wouldn't let me have him for a minute, so I will patiently wait until later this week to hit him with all of this information. Maybe that will give us more time for more stories and advice...
