  1. My blood sugar usually does hang around the low side, but normal range When I was going through infertility stuff, they tried me on 2 different drugs that are really for diabetics...but they actually regulate the cycle for a lot of people with PCOS. I thought that I was going to die...literally on the first drug...long before I worked up to their recommended...
  2. Ok, again I'm just trying to figure out if I'm eating something that others react to. Does anyone react to Cascadian Farms org fruit spread? I seem to be okay, but maybe I'm not if others react?
  3. After going gluten-free...I found a Penzey's spices store in our area. I know that they have some retail stores and also an online store. I was told about this place by a local celiac who doesn't react with them. I inquired by email about gluten and also asked in person. They seemed very knowledeable. I am trying to tweek my foods to eliminate any other...
  4. TH...I see your description. What were your son's symptoms that disappeared on gluten-free diet. My son is also negative, but I've wondered about some things for sure... Also, thank you for the oil recommendation. I WAS using Villa Flor from Whole Foods before I switched to spectrum, and thought that I was fine on that too. I just wanted to be more...
  5. Does anyone know of any brands off hand that are safe? I have reacted not knowing if it's cc or the nuts too, so I'd like to know brands that people have had luck with...especially T.H....cause I'm trying to figure out if I'm like you.
  6. Yes, thank you! Baby steps for me... When I feel like a normal person again, then maybe I will feel like cooking more. Right now...just trying to force myself. Quick or longer recipes and products are always appreciated:) I am not opposed to start ordering from the internet too...to make my family eat without argument!!!
  7. I've tried my kids on Happy Bites, Ians and Earth best gluten-free chicken nuggets. They won't eat them. My hubby accidentally brought home glutened Applegate nuggets and they ate them all up. Have I missed a good brand?
  8. I just learned by member T.H. that Spectrum Org olive oil is processed on same equipment as wheat germ oil. Maybe that's been part of my problem!!!!!!!!!!!! So now I'd like to know from the sensitive folks, what organic brands work...even non-organic I might consider?
  9. Hi. I tried some Terra sw pot chips, and I feel like it was tearing up my gums! Not from being sharp, but from being acidic or something. I emailed the mfr, but they would not respond to me. Has anyone an opinion?
  10. I checked with manufacturer for Gas X before, but I can't remember what was in it. I know that it either had gluten, lactose or soy...or combo. I can't tolerate any of it. I quit it! I am sorry to say that you will probably have to spend some $ on a good enzyme. I buy Enzymadica brand from Whole Foods. For their best kind called Digest Gold...it's about...
  11. I also react to cashews...and walnuts...and coconut. I seem to be okay with peanut butter and almond milk, but who knows right now. I thought that I am just intolerant of the nuts, but I also think that it could be cc. I would like to be brave enough to try it more...but now right now.
  12. In regards to Dr. Fasano... I guess that I just want an answer. The Dr's just confuse me when they say 2 different things! They are driving me crazy. GI #1 You have celiac disease, but I can't prove it. GI#2 (celiac disease specialist) There is no damage...your symptoms don't make any sense...I'll treat you for IBS. Rhuem doc #1 You don't have anything...
  13. I called on my previous 2 brands of favorite coffee when I first went gluten-free. They told me that there is no gluten, but that the beans could be hauled in the same trucks that haul wheat...they couldn't say. I asked them if they rinse their beans...and they said NO!!! He acted like it was preposterous! Be careful...
  14. I started drinking rice milk when going gluten free. Then I stopped, and started again. I was going downhill each day. I found out that Rice Dream processes their rice milk with barley! They don't say that on the label of course, but it is on their website. I got better after I switched to almond milk.
  15. Okay, I know that this is a stupid question, but is there any good recipe for gluten-free df and soy free cheesecake? I would settle for just gluten-free for my family, and I would prefer to buy it than make it...but I'll make it if I have to?
  16. Ooh...crock pot dishes would be fantastic! Keep it coming....
  17. If it helps...I eat Nature's Path organic "Crispy Rice"...like Rice Krispies. I eat it every morning, and while I haven't gotten ALL of the kinks out of my diet...I've been good with them. I may have a problem when I consume too much rice in general, but I do not have issues with the cereal. They are pretty good, and I usually mix berries or bananas and...
  18. No, they didn't say on the pack, and I couldn't find any offensive ingredients. I wondered if the brown rice syrup might contain some gluten though...but I tried them anyway. I only took a couple of pieces, and I don't really know if I reacted to them or not. My hubby had my kids eat gluten for lunch, so my fuzzy brain and face flushing could have come...
  19. We have the Kuerig coffee maker with Kcups. It's wonderful!!! I understand that all of the kcups, except two, are gluten-free. The only one that doesn't give me much turmoil though is the Newmans Organic Decaff Kcups.
  20. Oh, yes! I've eliminated almost all foods. I kept a food diary, and got down to almost nothing to feel no or little turmoil. I felt a lot better going gfand dairy and soy free... and then better again when the household went gluten-free, but I still need to get better still. I really don't eat processed foods. I opted to TRY the Amy's mac and cheese out...
  21. Do you mind telling me what they were, so that maybe I can compare them to mine?
  22. Did he actually help you? I don't want to book flights to MD and have hotel expenses if he wont' be able to help me. I have had negative blood tests, 2 rounds of negative biopsies and a pill camera. Nothing showed, but I continue to have severe celiac symtoms. I have both genes for celiac disease, and I'm lactose intolerant...but I've been intolerant...
  23. Yes, that would be more convenient. What were odd blood tests?
  24. I don't think that I'd be brave enought to try them until I know that a bunch of others who are very sensitive have tried them and been okay!
  25. That's kind of funny...gluten free oats mess me up for sure. I've just started trying the Ancient Harvest Quinoa hot cereal, and i wasn't feeling well on it. I posted a question about the product in this area, and you should read about the first couple of responses. I am so confused whether or not it is safe for me.
