  1. Tried dairy free, tried soy free...doesn't make a bit of difference....I am even yeast free. I have not seen a gasterointesterologist(spellin?)...none of the doctors have sent a referral to one yet. I am starting to get extremely frustrated with the doctors here, so much that if they end up finding something bad that I can't recover from...I will sue them...
  2. Just wondering is anybody has had yellow stool before and after going gluten free. I have had yellow stool, soft, foul smelling sometimes since May 2010...I went gluten free as soon as I found out that it could be celiac disease (May)...it also varies between that and once a week for about 2 days I will get constipated....when I can finally go to the bathroom...
  3. Just wondering if anybody read about intestinal parisites casuing gluten intolerance/allergies/celiac. I read about it today and wanted to know if anybody has been through that or heard of it?
  4. Just for info. Flax seeds can be manufactured/packaged in a facility with wheat products in it. Most of the flax seed packaged that you can by where i am say on the back..."Processed in a facility with wheat" or something rather. Also if you are buying these products in bulk (nuts/flax,ect), pay attention to what is in the other bulk bins beside them. It...
  5. Hi, just wondering if and celiacs have had problems with corn, corn flour or any other corn products. Had it today...have a gut ache....but it could have been something else.
  6. Today I tested myself with the ingredient soy lecithin i about 5 different things I ate today. Guess what...I get the same symptoms with that as I do when I get glutened. I only did a somewhat small amount , but it was enough to give me stomach cramping that has so far lasted hours and is still going.
  7. Just so people are aware of this...alot of deli meats do either contain gluten or are processed by/beside or in a no gluten free facility. Even hamburger or hamburger patties can have gluten in them. In the deli I work in there are only 3 kinds of gluten free meets..but I can't eat them because they are beside all of the other meats. Unless you go to a natural...
  8. I am wanting to invest in some good...new wookware for just myself to use for gluten free cooking. Just wondering what the best kind of cookware to use is. Which is less porous and wont absorb and gluten if somebody accidently cooks with me cookware. Should I get stainless steel, cast iron? Any ideas? Thanks
  9. I do find that too much of the ingredient soy or soy lechithin can make me start to feel a bit ill again. That could be just it...also I would stick to drinking organic teas ...flavoured teas can have gluten in them as well as flavoured coffees. "Twos leaves and a Bud " tea is great.
  10. Hi, just needed some advice on how to tell my boss that I can't work in the bakery anymore because it is making me sick....should i get a doctors note? Also...if I do deli shifts...will the gluten in some of the meats affect me? It is just slicing the meats...and we make like 8 sandwhiches a day...the rest is veggies/fruits.
  11. I just had to say that we have the same name...LOL..my hip does the same thing too. Now that I think of it...I went gluten free...then started working in a bakery then all of my joints go out all the time and are aching...neck is ALWAYS tight...ect. It has actually been getting worse in the last few weeks. Hmm...lol
  12. Yea the aches just kinda come and go in waves...all over the body...all day long. I have been doing alot of bakery shifts though. I can ask my boss to not put me in the bakery...i know he will be understanding of that...but I don't have a positive biopsy or blood test...just based on my symptoms and my reaction to going gluten free, the docs says i am celiac...
  13. Hey, I am currently working at a grocery store with some bakery shifts. Just wondering if anybody else gets body aches when they are around gluten. Almost everytime I am working in there...I am constantly aching all over.
  14. Just wondering if anybody started to develop burning sensations in stomach when using gluten free replacements such as Rice bread, gluten-free cereal, gluten-free muffins or gluten-free chocolates? I have noticed in the last few weeks I have been eating more of those...now my stomache acidity seems to be going up a bit. ANybody else have this problem? It...
  15. Hi, I also have the same after going gluten free. My absolute best friend is BLUEBERRIES! I love them. They work fast. Eat about 1 cup/day in the morning (or whenever) and do it everyday. 1 serving of blueberries has 8.1 grams fibre in it...with is almost 3 times more fibre thans metamucil pysillium fibre has in it. SERIOUSLY..THESE WORK. I put mine in a...
  16. I know the diffence between celiac and gluten sensitivty/allergy. I have spent lots of money on books, ect to educate myself all about celiac. I have all of the symptoms of it. If I wanted to know the difference, then that would have been my question. It's not really that easy going gluten free for months...feeling 100% better...then going back on it JUST...
  17. In the last 5 years I have had mild to severe ongoing stomach problems with almost every sypmtom you can think of...minus vomitting. Over that period a few months ago...one of my doctors said "do you think it could be celic?". So I went home and read about it...then I stopped eating glten..sure enough within like 2 days I was alomst 100% better. At that time...
  18. I just started a new job a few months ago...most of my hours seem to be in the bakery. We don't make dough from scratch...they come frozen and boxed. But I am concerned that being around it all day...with the crumbs after slicing the bread and having it around my water bottle/purse, ect...as well as bagging...and making deserts and pulling the dough for the...
  19. I just used Tinkyada pasta for a cold italian salad. Rinse it with lukewarm water after cooked, then immediately coat with evoo (extra virgin olive oil). To test if the rice noodle is cooked enough to the point that it won't harden when cooled, take a noodle as they are still cooking, rinse it under cold water, then take a bite. If it starts to harden up...
