Hi everyone,

I am very new to this site and new to the celiac disease life. I was just recently diagnosed in June 2010 and trying to adjust to the new way of life.

I am on this site to receive and provide support with others as well as learn new things about the disease.

I will change and add to this at another time.

  1. Rochester, NY not to far from Albany.. about 4 hours. My boyfriend is from Albany and we go up there alot. Dont hesitate to ask if you need anything!

  3. I know exactly how you feel. I am too the only celiac in my house... in my whole family of that matter (that I know of, but I havent met much of them). It gets very hard, lonely, and very frustrating when it comes to food. No one fully understands this unless they had to go through it. I have been gluten free for about 6 weeks now and it gets harder and harder...

    Not Losing Weight!

    Hi KikiUSA, I read your post and I have to say that I know exactly how you feel... I am so emotionally tired and frustrated because of this disease. I also know how you feel by putting on weight. I wish I had an answer for you on how to lose it. Over the past year, I gained about 60 pounds, I was so bloated and couldn't fit into any of my cloths...

At first, it didn't really hit me as to how different my life would forever be.
