Diagnosed with Bacterial Dysbiosis by Enterolabs on 3/30/10:

Clostridium bacteria t 3+ is crowding out my good bifidobacterium at level 0.

Currently taking large doses of probiotics, digestive enzymes, & Omega 3-6-9 fish oils.

Misdiagnosed for 15 years with I.B.S. by 6 Gastroenterologists & numerous MD's. All said to take Metamucil and/or anti-depressants. I wasn't depressed except for the pain/discomfort in my belly that they couldn't help me with!

  1. I've had 3 great experiences at the BJ's in Valencia, CA. Before going gluten-free...I didn't care for BJ's at all. The first time I ordered the gluten-free pizza, the manager came over and talked to me, he was VERY interested in my situation and shared with me how his mother had been gluten-free for 5 months. He did not say whether they bake the pizza...
  2. Before going gluten-free I LOVED PF Chang's. Recently I went to their restaurant in Pasadena,CA and ordered the Mongolian Beef & the Garlic Snap Peas from their gluten-free menu...both tasted great but I got sick afterwards. All I could think of was they cooked my food right after cooking something that had gluten but I'll never know for sure. Since...
  3. Wow...if we have to also cut out corn & dairy...doesn't seem like there's much left to eat! But since we're not getting any better, it sounds like that's what we need do. I'm going to give it a try for a while to see what happens. Last week I tried adding blueberries back into my diet and they gave me all kinds of problems. Yesterday I tried watermelon...
  4. Thank you rdunbar & Bennie for replying. enterolabs.com has a test for gluten sensitivity and you can pay a little extra to have the gene testing done. They do not test for Celiac...that has to be done by biopsy of the small intestine. The name of the enterolabs test is "Gluten Sensitivity Stool & Gene Panel Complete." Be prepared to pay around...
  5. Yes, it's the one by Danna Korn (I believe her name has two n's). Thanks for the good news!
  6. Peter - I am disappointed to hear that Elizabeth Hasselbeck's book has misinformation. I also read "Living Gluten-Free for Dummies." I hope you'll tell me that it's a good book...I thought it was great! ravenwoodlglass - I'm going to try your suggestion of staying off the wipes for a month to see if it makes a difference. Thank you to everyone for...
  7. Thank you for both replies! As far as the Tocopherol or Tocopheryl, I had read in Elizabeth Hasselbeck's book "The Gluten-Free Diet" that these items "could" indicate the prescense of gluten in a product. Since I haven't felt any better yet on the diet, I'm on a mission to find out the source of my discomfort! I'm a fanatic about washing my hands after...
  8. I was going to post about the Listerine breath spray (the little green bottle) but then I saw your post. I also contacted the company about the spray and got the exact same response. Now I'm afraid to use them!
  9. I am new to Gluten-free; so far the diet is not helping, so now I'm trying to figure out if any products are causing my discomfort. Everyday I use those wonderful, flushable wipes when I go to the bathroom. Every brand I look at has Tocopheryl. Do you think it's possible this is giving me problems?!? Thanks for your help!
  10. That's a great question. I'm new to gluten-free. Can anyone answer this? Thank you!!!
  11. I forgot to mention in my first post that for the past 4 months I have been taking Renew Life's Intestinew (L-Glutamine to heal the intestines), digestive enzymes with every meal, major probiotics (Renew Life's 200 billion), omega 3-6-9 fish oils, & every vitamin imagineable. The enterolab CDSA test also showed "bacterial dysbiosis," the bacteria in...
  12. Hello! First of all, I would like to say that I am SO thankful for this website and forum! It's nice to know that I'm not alone in this (I have felt SO alone). After 15 years of doctors, tests, drugs, diets, herbs, acupuncture, Reiki, hypnosis, etc. etc., Brenda Watson from Renew Life referred me to enterolabs.com. I am thrilled to have a diagnosis...
