  1. Thanks, Raven!! I appreciate your input and insight!
  2. gluten-free - that is a good idea about making big batches. I have a hard time with food in general and probably eat more processed foods than I should so it's been a struggle. That being said - I got super sick after cutting everything out of diet so I put everything but the gluten back in and feel better. And now I've had an appt with the GI doc...
  3. Curious what everyone takes/likes. I'm sure there are millions out there but looking for a good place to start. Thanks!
  4. Jackay - where did you do your tests? I did Immunolabs. Started by avoiding everything for a few days and then I got really sick so I decided I'm not messing with it anymore (only doing gluten-free - still eating milk, cheese, yeast, etc. that came up positive on my test) until I get my second opinion by a GI specialist.
  5. I don't have any advice but wanted to wallow with you a bit ! I'm very new to this, very overwhelmed, and depessed about it all. I was gluten free for 2 weeks when I got diagnosed with my other intolerances and candida. I'm going for a second opinion and in the meantime have decided to stay gluten free but am going to eat all the other things. My husband...
  6. Thanks, Ravenwood. Man, I still feel awful. This is different from anything I've ever had before. I wonder if it was gluten or a virus. . .not fun. I never had GI symptoms prior to my "diagnosis" (getting a second opinion) except during my period so not eating gluten hasn't felt that beneficial to me. Hopefully it will help in the long run. Thanks...
  7. How soon can you get "glutened" after going gluten-free? (Assuming you didn't have obvious symptoms prior to going gluten-free). Obviously if you didn't eat gluten for one day and then ate it it would not be an issue. One week, One month? I've been gluten free for a little over 2 weeks and tonight I feel terrible - nauseous, bloated, burping, feel like...
  8. Thanks, everyone! I don't know if I can cut everything out at once. I've been gluten free for 2 weeks. That has been stressful enough. Cutting out milk and yeast is very overwhelming I just found out at the grocery store. I wish I could just cook all day, but I have a family and jobs and it's not feasible. Feeling really overwhelmed. Think it's OK...
  9. Hello all! Well, I got my IGG Food testing results (from Immuno Laboratories). Here are the results: Cashew (+1) Cheese (+1) Cranberry (+1) Milk, Cow's (+2) Milk, Goat's (+1) Sesame (+2) Wheat (+1) Yeast, Baker's (+1) Yeast, Brewer's (+2) Candida albicans: Results are positive: Weakly Positive (1:3000) Anti-Gliadin Antibody...
  10. Yay!! I know this is an old post but I was searching for the exact question. I just made gluten free cookies for the first time (new diagnosis). They look awful and I could barely get them off the cookie sheet! The taste pretty good but are so flat. I LOVE this recipe (with wheat flour of course) but was disappointed with this new recipe. All I did...
  11. I haven't been on this board very long so don't really know many people, but I saw your post and wanted to send big hugs to you. I'm so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself and give yourself time to grieve. Things to happen for a reason but when you are in the midst of them, it still sucks! So big hugs to you and definitely get some pampering...
  12. Mushrooms make me sick (not you, mushroom ;-)). I used to be able to eat them and then I realized that everytime I ate them I felt sick. I started eating these veggie burgers at a local restaurant and would get sick after eating them. Didn't realize they had mushrooms in them at the time. Once I figured that out it totally made sense why they made me...
  13. Me me me!! I actually really only notice my symptoms during my period and right before. I've been diagnosed by my doctor as Celiac on blood results alone. So I'm still awaiting a second opinion but for 10 cycles I have had a horrible pain in my right side, bloating, etc. during my period. I've had two ultrasounds that are normal. I've been trying to...
  14. _______________ Since you said she said she had a positive Celiac blood panel test, uhm, allergy to self acceptance, aka, "Celiac In Denial?"
