  1. Thanks Em. Coming and talking to my psillies keeps me from screaming. I knew his company was known for doing this but we haven't even been here 7 months. At least we'll keep the house and I'll have all of you to keep me company while he's gone (if they don't lay him off). Pleeze take the pics of Elsie & Hank. Could use all the smiles I can get right...
  2. Wouldn't that be Kool!!!! Loey P.S. please all keep your eyes crossed for us. They're laying off more people than they're keeping. Having a weekend hubby would be better than us both being unemployed. Clark will have to start fighting crime and fly around in tights if he isn't transferred. A few of the men at work are talking about renting a house together...
  3. Things are going a wee bit haywire for Clark and me. Saw FP on Wednesday and now I have to see five specialists and have 5 tests done. Then yesterday my DH called at 7:30 AM to let me know his department is being transferred to Cambridge Mass. WTF? we just got here 6 months ago. Spent the day wondering all the 3 W's . Had to wait until 5:30 PM to find out...
  4. So I just got off with the disability office for my interview. Talk about harrowing!!!! I was flustered the entire time and somehow my dates of jobs didn't jive. I couldn't find doctor's phone numbers. It will be a miracle if I don't get rejected. I much rather get well and get a job (as if there are any). Thanks to all my psillies for making me smile...
  5. Luckily it was a 24 hour thing. Now I need to catch up with the coughing Loey
  6. Now it's my turn to join the barf brigade but I also have D. So I need a bucket and the toilet. I HATE flu season!!!!!! Now that's Peoter is back I suggest that Kareeng and Em become his Queens (with perks). Gotta run....... literally! Loey
  7. Oh my poor dear psillies. I go offline for three days and half or you are barfing and now there's a mutiny. I'm still hurting from the procedures but it seems like nothing compared by what all of you are going through. As for the standing while barfing - I'm a kneeler. But I hate barfing almost more than anything in the world (including childbirth without...
  8. Hello my dear psillies, I am literally having the !@#$iest birthday of my life!!!!!!! I'm having a colonoscopy/endoscopy tomorrow and have spent the entire day and night doing a cleanse (and living in my bathroom). Will probably not be back online until later tomorrow. At least I like this doctor and he's doing both procedures at once. DH taking...
  9. I lived where you did my whole life and I also never saw a winter like this one. Took Tony to the dentist today and people were canceling appointments for tomorrow left and right. Glad I have no plans. Just going to turn on my fireplace and stay cozy. Saw the new GI today and I REALLY like him. He spent and hour and twenty minutes with me. I was glad Clark...
  10. This is the strangest forward I've ever received (and that's saying a lot!) Loey Open Original Shared Link
  11. FINALLY go to see new GI today. Clark called and told me to pick him up at work on the way (next town over) and he'll go with me. Will let you all know how it goes. Might not be until tomorrow as Tony has dentist appointment when I return. Hugs, Loey
  12. We're supposed to get 3-6 inches tomorrow. Hugs, Loey
  13. How scary! I'm glad you're all right! Hugs, Loey
  14. Hang n there and realize there are a lot of auto immune illnesses connected to Celiac. PMS might be exacerbated by it. We're all here and rooting for you! Loey
  15. DH loves the Energy brand of Brown Rice Bread. I can't handle it (or any bread right now) but to him it tastes the best out of all of the gluten-free breads I tried. BTW, isn't rectifying supposed to make you sleep better? Hugs, Loey
  16. DON'T go see The Black Swan if your DH doesn't like those type of pics. Don't want to say much more in case anyone else wants to see it. Don't want to be a spoiler. I've wanted to see Red. Glad you liked it. T-3 until I see the new GI Feel like I also have a UTI but don't see the FP until Feb 3rd. Might need to pay the high cost of a walk in clinic...
  17. Again, just hang in there and feel free to PM me. I would imagine that expecting your period would definitely add to all you're going through. I'm 58 now but when I did have my period I suffered from serious bloating. My original GI in NJ (an angel) felt I had gone undiagnosed for decades. Again, a dress might provide you with more comfort (if it's not too...
  18. I'm so sorry! I was telling my husband that I think I might have a UTI on top of the Celiac, ulcer and IBS. Trouble is we moved to a new state in June and it's literally taken me since then to get new doctors. I see a new GI Thursday (the one I saw when we first moved was not supportive and I had to fight for my capsule endoscopy even though my old GI in...
  19. Hello again, I'm posting a link to a list of medications that are "supposed" to be gluten-free. I still check with the manufacturer but I thought it might help you. Also, you mentioned that you had an omelet at a restaurant. They might use the same grill to cook sausages or other foods that contain gluten. I know how hard it it to give up everything...
  20. Hello again, I'm posting a link to a list of medications that are "supposed" to be gluten-free. I still check with the manufacturer but i thought it might help you. Also, you mentioned that you had an omelet out. They might use the grill to cook sausages or other foods that contain gluten. I know how hard it it to give up everything but I know that I'd...
  21. Welcome to the Forum! I'm somewhat new to Celiac (diagnosed in June 2010) and have an ulcer and IBS. For some people it takes a longer time to feel better. I agree that eliminating trigger foods are important. Right now I'm only eating rice, veggies and eggs as most other foods seem to affect me. I've actually had a flare since September and am looking forward...
  22. You are not alone!!! When I'm having a flare (my latest has lasted for 5 months and counting) I have to put books between my seatbelt and my belly just to be able to tolerate a car ride. I'm sitting here right now feeling your (and my) pain. I know I've seen other threads about things you can take for bloating but I don't remember the dates or the exact thread...
  23. We just came back from seeing The Black Swan. I highly recommend it (as opposed to The Room). It had a few scenes that made you cringe but it was over 2 hours and you didn't notice how long it was. It was nice getting out of the house with my boys. Tony goes back to school next Saturday so this was the last chance for the 3 of us to go out. Clark bought him...
  24. OK, so we watched this REALLY bad movie last night. Tony kept putting it on the top of our Neflix Queue so we finally gave in (because he was NOT going to give up). It was so bad it was good. Clark spent all morning reading people's reviews of it. He was obsessed. So I thought I'd share the trailer with you psillies. I think it might be a future Rocky Horror...
  25. Thanks Kareenngg, I'm luck you adopted me!!! Hugz, Loey
