Hi celiac3270, I agree with Kathleen about educating our Dentists and Doctors about Celiac because they obviously know very little and they see patients first and if they knew maybe the kids and adults could be diagnosed before 11 years of suffering. I would hate to have a child suffer the way I did with tooth pain, enamel defects, I had to have my...

Hi girlin pain, I' sorry you are having so much pain. When my doctor suggested an endoscopy at first I balked because I was so sick and scared. I have to be scoped every year because it can lead to... -
Hi, I have some experience with Dental products because every time I went to the dentist I came back home with "brain fog", which lasted all day. I found some dental ptoducts that are gluten free from the Clan Thompson web site. I took a list of the gluten free products to my dentist(who knew nothing about Celiac) but his new assistant did because...

Carol, Sorry that I didn't answer right away,we were away for a few days. I agree that there are 2 kinds of fiber, soluble and insoluble. I always start my day with some type of soluble fiber, such as potatoes, applesauce, or banana along with Citrucel tabs(gluten-free, not sure about the powder). Kalo, Have you ever tried fiber pills? I've been constipated a lot since this disease got triggered, I also have hemmorrhoids which showed up on my colonoscopy, so my gi doc suggested fiber pills. You have to gradually increase the amount slowly but I take 4-6 a day with a full glass of water, just make sure they are the gluten-free ones. It works...

ARCHIVED Symptoms Need Input
judy04 replied to chasefamily's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hi Chase family and welcome! I would advise you not to go gluten free until the Endoscopy is done. If you start to eat gluten free now it will affect your biopsy and blood test. Have you had the blood test yet? My GI doc did a celiac panel, I tested Neg for the gene but positive for the IgA (75). I was retested in 6 mos, my level is still somewhat... -
