Hey mindbodyspirit7, did you ever find out if this product is gluten free?? -
My Dh started on the backs of my elbows and was intially diagnosed as ring worm. (Ironically this rash started about a month after having my appendix out). After about 9 months the elbows cleared up-after being treated with all sorts of creams. Then a few months after that I got these lesions on my chin, which the dermatolgist called perioral dermititis....

ARCHIVED My Dad Falls Asleep After Eating Wheat
Lalama replied to bellysbetter's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I can completely relate. I had never made the connection but when I was young my mom brought me to many doctors to figure out why I was so exhausted all the time and no one had an answer. The worst would be after eating a bowl of cereal I would get in the car to do my commute and within minutes I was slapping my face to keep my eyes open. I would have to... -
ARCHIVED Constipation And Stomach Pain. Immediate And Long Term Relief?
Lalama replied to sreese68's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
No, I have not yet tried it yet. But I read the book Fiber Menace and it definitly has me thinking of trying it out. I only say that because every doctor always says eat more fiber, drink more water and exercise more. Well I drink half a gallon of water a day eat plenty of fiber and exercise and only makes me bloated and nauseous. Anything I use to help... -
ARCHIVED Constipation And Stomach Pain. Immediate And Long Term Relief?
Lalama replied to sreese68's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I am sorry you are going through all this. Constipation is the worse I have had my share of issues. I don't know if it's coincidence or not but I had heard a lot of good reviews about the supplement program by the doctor in the link below...talks about how too much fiber can actually be a bad thing in the long run for constipation. I just started reading... -
ARCHIVED Constipation!
Lalama replied to missj's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Just reading all these posts about C. I have been having this issue for the last two months. And with it-my periods have been extremely painful. My naturopathic doctor put me on these physilium husks capsules (which also have some other natural ingredients) and I have been taking them for about 6 weeks now. They helped me to go-but I was having D instead... -
You made some good points-thanks! The outbreak this time was on the bottom of my chin, and not on other places where my face gets more sun. So maybe something else is to blame? I guess I'll know for sure this summer-definitly going to wear a hat though!

Ok, so I was doing really well with the dh thing and it seemed like it was mostly going away. Then this week it was really nice out, so I went for a short walk each day. This morning I noticed all these little dh blisters on my chin area. I didn't think the sun would cause such a strong reaction...unless it's from somthing else. This is really frustrating...

Does anyone know of good gluten free casein free calcium supplements that don't upset the stomach? Or do you think drinking a couple of glasses of fortified almond milk will be sufficient? I noticed that the bottoms of my top front teeth are loosing some of their white and are beginning to look translucent at the bottom of them. They also feel a bit thinner...

ARCHIVED I Hear People Around Me Talking About Food Constantly!
Lalama replied to Kimbalou's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Gemini-Totally agree with you here. This gluten/dairy free diet has actually been a blessing in disguise for me. I was one of those people who talked a lot about food-ecspecially after getting married. I begin to cook and bake like crazy and was always engaging in coversation about food. I put on almost 15 pounds in my two years of marriage(and I am very... -
ARCHIVED Sleep Apnea After Being Gluttened
Lalama replied to Lalama's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Welcome to the forum Kre8sioN! It is definitly scary when you stop breathing-ecspecially with your heart racing! When you said weird twitch are you referring to not being able to breath or something else? I haven't really exeprienced a racing heart before but I have heard other people who experience that on this forum. After I went gluten free for about... -
ARCHIVED Detox Fasting /probiotics
Lalama replied to joej1's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
A couple of months ago I did a three week detox with my nutrionist and had only been gluten free for two months at the time. She had me take this paleomeal protein powder (there is a dairy free and whey version-both are gluten free)from www.rockwellnutrition.com. I took one in the morning and one at supper and it filled me up but was easily digestable as... -
ARCHIVED Homopathic Medicine For Hypothyroid
Lalama replied to Lalama's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Thanks for responding! That is encouraging to hear I tend to be quite sensitive to many prescriptions as well-so I am hoping that this one does the trick! -
Has anyone taken homeopathic remedies to treat their thyroid? I am slightly hypothyroid and my doctor just had me start taking thyropath by energetix. Just curious to see what results were like...

Ok, so I was never diagnosed with sleep apnea but I often had problems gasping for air in the night. And my brother has major sleep apnea. I noticed after going gluten free however, this completely stopped happening. Yesterday I ate sauce that I thought was gluten free but turns out had wheat in it. When I tried to fall asleep last night, every time I would...

I have been on them for about 4 weeks now and feel slightly more energetic. Although that is the same time I started taking a vitamin D supplement, so not sure what to attribute it to. I agree with you about disliking the extra sugar. Actually, I just found out that there is apple pectin in mine-which may explain why my eyes have been itching the last couple...

eatme4good-Glad to hear that! I will keep enjoying my weekly chocolate Bisja- I eat EnjoyLife chocolate-only in small amounts though-I don't want to push it! I use Digest Gold enzymes, Natures Sunshine Milk free Acidophilus probiotics and Optihealth XtraVite. The EtraVite vitamin I have not been using for too long. My naturopath put me on these...

Ok quick question for chocolate lovers. I am currently on enzymes, probiotics and isotonic vitamins to heal leaky gut syndrome/malabsorption. I have heard a lot about staying away from chocolate. Now I don't eat a lot of chocolate-usually I treat myself once a week on the weekends and I eat dairy/soy/gluten free chocolate. Is this a bad to have when...

ARCHIVED Malabsorption-Does This Mean You Need Vitamin Shots?
Lalama replied to Lalama's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
This is true,I have been gluten free for about 5 months now so hopefully my absorption is improving I think I will go ahead and get the magnesium supplements until I get my vitamin levels checked. Thanks for your response! -
ARCHIVED Malabsorption-Does This Mean You Need Vitamin Shots?
Lalama posted a topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
My doctor told me I have malabosorption and put me on an isotonic multivitamin. He never tested all my vitamin levels and I didn't think to ask him until reading up on this forum. I was going to buy magnesium to help with bad cramps, but now I am wondering if it is pointless because of the malabsorption issue. Any thoughts? -
That's very interesting! Do you think that means that strong probiotics could potentially do the same thing? Irishheart: I forgot to add no soy products either! Good luck with your diet=)
