  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. My suggestion would be this: you should eat smaller meals every three hours to keep your metabolism going. It might not be the best idea to stop eating at 4pm, if you are hungry again around 7, have a little snack, some cottage cheese, a yogurt, handful of nuts, just something small. I'm a health ed major and have done a lot of research on weight gain, and...
  3. I have had the mission corn tortillas, and also just found Goya corn ones. They are both gluten-free because they only have corn listed as an ingredient, the mission ones do say gluten-free right on them. Pretty exciting!
  4. Hey Virginia, I live in Poughkeepsie too! Have you been to the health food store on Rt. 9 in the Bugaboo Creek Plaza? I actually went there this morning, they have some good stuff in there! Well, I just noticed you were from Pok and wanted to say hello!
  5. I'm a big fan of Kashi Cranberry Sunrise(or is it Sunshine), wow, I can't think! It's one of those, but it's pretty good. Wegmans has a cereal in their health food section, its corn flakes with strawberries and it tastes a lot like special K with berries, which I miss very much! If there was one thing I wish I could eat again it would be cereal. Normal cereal...

    ARCHIVED Low-carb Gf Diet

Open Original Shared Link I found this, I eat the smaps cereal, it's pretty good, really expensive, but oh well. I think there may be some other gluten-free stuff on the site...
  9. Doug, I'd suggest checking the Teryaki sauce ingredients used on the chicken. Other than that, It doesn't sound like anything else would have hurt you, unless the chicken was breaded. But, after a week, you can't expect to feel 100%. I did the same thing, and still do. I analyze every stomach ache, or "bubbly" feeling in my stomach. It sucks, but that...
  10. "have mastered the art of passing gas in public" I seriously just almost died laughing, which would not be a good thing because I live alone! my neighbor across the hall is probably wondering what I'm laughing at, but wow, that is just SO TRUE! My cat is looking at me like I have 3 heads, I want to call my mom and tell her that one because we'll be at...

  14. Does anyone know if Duncan Hines brownie mixes are gluten-free? I dont have the box with me......... Thanks
  15. Granny, As far as I know, the only gluten-free Barbaras Puffins cereal is the Honey Rice...the peanut butter and cinnamon aren't gluten-free, they might only be wheat free.

    ARCHIVED Applebees

Unfortunately I'm at school in Cortland NY, a very small town, we're lucky enough to have gotten an Applebees built last year, there is probably an Outback in Syracuse and there is a Ruby Tuesdays there as well, so the 40 min drive is well worth it in my opinion, thanks for all of the good advice!

    ARCHIVED Applebees

I was wondering if anyone has had experience at Applebees? I usually only get a salad anyway, but sometimes it has chicken or shrimp, would it be safe if I was to ask to make sure it wasnt basted or breaded with anything? Probably wouldnt be able to use dressing though, oh well, I can live without that. I guess this is a silly question seeing as I sort of...
  18. Thanks so much for your help!
  19. So, I've heard that flavored coffee is off limits, but I just read in a list that was posted on here that Dunkin Donuts flavored coffee is gluten-free? Is this true, does anyone have first hand experience of this? I'm the biggest flavored coffee fan, and I'm missing my hazlenut iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts!!
  20. Thanks Sally, I know, I don't miss buying "supplies!" But it is something that needs to be taken care of, I'm only 24 and my mom is always joking around and saying that we went throught menopause at the same time! HAHA
  21. I emailed St. Ives today because I use a lot of their products, here's what they sent me, hope it helps some people. These are their items that contain gluten... Age Defying Hydroxy Cleanser Wheat Germ Oil Collagen & Elastin Extra Relief Lotion Wheat Germ Oil Collagen Elastin Fragrance Free Wheat Germ Oil Hair Repair Hot Oil Hyd. Wheat...
  22. Hey girlies, I havent gotten my period in 2 years, and was just diagnosed this past Monday with Celiacs...I was wondering if anyone else experience amenorrhea(loss of your period) and then went gluten-free and got it back? The doctors were calling me a medical mystery for awhile, but I do lose a lot of weight, and I know that having a low body fat % can...
  23. Thanks for your help, I'll check it out!
  24. Hey, So, I used to eat a cereal called Hi-Lo, its a high protein, low carb, low sugar cereal and I loved it, but had to give it up because it contained gluten. I was wondering if anyone knew of a high protein (9-12grams/serving), low carb cereal? These corn flakes are so bland....Kashi Cranberry Sunrise is OK, but not great. I kind of like the puffins cereal...
  25. Oh no, I'm sorry to hear you had to give them up! I just can't do that yet! Giving up pretzels and honey wheat pretzels was horrible enough for right now....it might be the next step, but for now, I need my SOYS!
