  1. I have a lot to reply to. No I don't own any cookbooks though I love to cook. I need to invest in some. Tarnalberry, what do you use as a sauce for the stir fry? And I would also like the corn chowder recipe. Thanks!!!!!
  2. Hope this helps. I am the complete opposite if I get gluten in my diet, you know what I mean. If the constipation happens often you may want to get checked for IBS. I had similar problems with constipation as a teen and the Dr's swore it was IBS. But now many years later after going gluten-free, I haven't had the problem. You need to make sure that you drink...
  3. This kinda goes along with another post I read, but I need a little more info. I also cook the same 5 or 6 things in rotation during the week (boring) for dinner. It is hard for me to cook a meal that I and my finacee likes. I like all food except fish. I love every vegatable! He likes any meat and only corn and potatoes. I can't afford nor have the time...
  4. Most Ortega products are gluten-free, including the hard shells and seasonings.
  5. Thanks for the support. It does make sense. I was just hoping I wasn't senstive to the other foods I eat. Living without gluten is hard enough. I will let you know what the Dr. says!
  6. Well this is for the women out there. I have been gluten free for 10 months (yeah). Two years before being diagnosed they took out my gall bladder, and I am still having right-side pain. Well last week I went under the knife and had a look at my ovaries because the Dr. swore there was a cyst or something. He found NOTHING??? My (girly) insides looked perfect...
  7. Thanks! I'll try them!
  8. Does anyone have a good chip dip recipe? I always use Kraft ranch dressing but I miss the good old sour crream dressings! I know that Kraft makes a french onion dip. It's just not my favorite. Thanks!!!
  9. This is also good but is high in fat. It works wonderful as a low carb treat. Whipping cream and a box of sugar free jello pudding. Whip it together! Wonderful!
  10. I haven't tried them but I have tried some of their other products. I will now! I am sure they are wonderful!
  11. What are probiotics? Are they just a pill? Where can I gat some?
  12. Ok, maybe someone can help me. I am sick all of the time. I have been fighting a cold/infection now for over a month. It is the same thing that moves one one part of my body to the next. It started in my head, went to my throat, and now it's in my chest. I am on my 4th antibiotic from the Dr. I asked the Dr. if he thought it was odd that this is the ...
  13. Does anyone have a recipe for mexican wedding cookies? I had a gluten free recipe but lost it. Thanks! Steph
  14. I also added walnuts! I love nuts. I froze a bunch and I have been taking them out of the freezer all week and they still taste just as good!!!!!
  15. I just wanted to share this with the people who didn't know. I bought a bag of the gluten free pantry's choclate truffle brownies and made them on Monday. They are to die for!!! They taste just like any other brownie, but are very rich. So if you are looking for brownies I definately recommend these!!!!!!!! Steph
  16. Thank you! I also don't want a huge gluten free cake, just a small one for the occasion. I will check out those 2 places! Thanks!
  17. Hello! I am getting Married in September. Does anyone know where I can order a gluten free wedding cake? Steph
  18. Is the pain on the outside or inside? I have cysts and they can hurt. (inside) I went my doctor and he said that I have vestublites (that may be spelt wrong) and this hurts on the outside. It's simply another allergic reaction. I have to wear cotton, white underwear and only use detergents without any dyes or parfume. I cannot use saop with any scent...
  19. Does anyone know if Deans Dips are gluten free? The ranch dip has modified food startch. I tried to email them but I don't want to wait long. Does anyone know?
  20. This post may be too late but I take levoxil and cytomel. Once I went gluten free I felt much better. The Dr. said that my body is now absorbing the meds. I do get tired and drained often. I figure that my thyroid is off balanced at these times. Hope this helps!
  21. Thanks!
  22. Yes I did but I was looking for a brand or a drink. It doesn't list it.
  23. Ok all you 21 and over... I have a quick question. Does anyone know of any wine cooler or bottled drink that we can have? I am tired of rum or any hard stuff, and I don't like the anti-wheat beer. I would like to have something different? Any suggestions?
  24. Has anyone had problems with the pituitary gland? My mother and I had a conversation yesterday and she said that mine did not function. She said I had some test years ago and it came back this. I never knew. And I have been looking it up on the internet and it seems as if I should be on hormone replacement. It is also autoimmune. Anyone that can shead some...
  25. I bought a bag of The Gluten Free Pantry pre-mixed cookie mix. All I had to add was eggs and butter. I made snickerdoodles and they were awesome! They taste great! It also had directions for a cake. So for anyone that wants to try it, it is awesome! A little expensive though, $6.00 a bag, but worth every penny! I can't wait to try the cake!
