  1. Sorry if someone already posted about this, but I thought I'd share. I eat a lot of rice and rice based products. Grrr... Open Original Shared Link
  2. Thanks for all the info! I did end up getting my hormones tested they said it was came out normal. But I think just because it doesn't show anything doesn't necessarily mean it isn't related to hormones... They told me it was stress and gave me the number for stress management.
  3. Thanks, Gemini! Five years ago I didn't have kids or (know about having) celiac, now I have two kids, celiac and possibly pre-menopause. It's a lot to happen in so short a time. A lot to happen to my body. Ha! I definitely do need to exercise. Every time I start working out, I get sick. I think just a coincidence, but it does throw a wrench into my plans...
  4. I did have my thyroid checked (it was normal) but not my hormones. My doc actually kind of chuckled when I suggested I could be going through menopause, so I guess that's why he didn't check my hormones. Thanks for the info! I'm going to check out those books. ... I don't know if I've had hot flashes. I have been feeling hot a lot but I don't know if...
  5. Am I going through perimenopause? I used to get my period every 28 days. Then for a while it was every 25 days. Now it's 21 days. Why?? The last time I saw my doc I told him I'm having fatigue, irritability, I'm emotional, etc. I told him I feel like I have PMS all the time, and could I be going through menopause? He says no. He said it's stress and I...
  6. Thanks for the suggestions. Don't know what I'd do without this message board! I'm feeling better today. I think because I haven't been eating anything except bananas.
  7. If it was the Culturelle, wouldn't I have a reaction right away? I've been taking it for a couple weeks. Hmmm... I have taken probiotics before, Bio-K. And haven't had any problems. But I guess anything is possible -- which is my usual problem. (Is it gluten cc? Is it this? Is it that? It's enough to drive a person crazy.) I'll lay off it anyway, just in...
  8. Thanks. I had salmonella when I was 14. I had to be hospitalized because I got so dehydrated. I hope that's not what this is. Why did your doctor make you wait two weeks to do the test?? Right now I can't imagine going anywhere because I need to be near the bathroom. Ugh. I hope I don't need antibiotics; I had to take some because of a sinus infection/bronchitis...
  9. Sorry to be gross but I have diarrhea that will not stop. I don't know if I've been glutened or if I have stomach "flu," probably stomach flu since my son had diarrhea/vomiting for a few days. He's fine now but I'm miserable. I have been taking Immodium and it's having no effect. I'm so tired of running to the bathroom all day for two days. Anyone have any...
  10. My pms and periods are way worse since I was diagnosed with celiac and stopped eating gluten. You would think it would get better not worse right? Weird. :/
  11. After I stopped breastfeeding my second child, I started having chronic diarrhea, I was going crazy trying to figure out what was causing it, I thought maybe hormones or certain foods. I was so miserable. My hubby finally insisted I see a doctor about it (I was scared they were going to do all kinds of invasive tests so I kept putting it off) but I finally...
  12. Well some people are just ignorant of celiac disease. And others are just plain ... stupid. Ha ha! I've had people say all kinds of stupid stuff to me too. My favorite is when someone who knows someone who knows someone who has celiac presumes to know more about celiac than I do. Ugh! And at Kaiser pharmacy they always ask are you allergic to anything...
  13. Thanks for the suggestions! Hubby found me a cough syrup made by Vicks called Nature Fusion, at Rite Aid. It actually says gluten free on the label. Amazing! Just took some so we'll see if it does its job...
  14. why is it so hard to find current info on meds? grrrr. just thought i'd share something from the theraflu site. under the powders section it had a faq and one said does this have gluten? "Yes. This product contains a trace amount of gluten (<10.0 parts per million)." Of course their other products did not even have a faq so i could check if...
  15. Hmmm. Interesting. My endo did show a lot of damage apparently so duodenum damage seems like a possibility. I think I'm going to have to try some probiotics anyway since I just started taking antibiotics for this sinus infection. Thanks!
  16. I went to the doc last night, I have a sinus infection. I was given antibiotics (and some other meds that I wish I hadn't wasted my money on.) The cough medication in particular only made my stomach hurt, and I swear it only made my cough worse. So now I haven't gotten a good night of sleep in three days. My husband is getting irritated with me...
  17. Are all of the custom probiotics products gluten free?
  18. This thread just makes me want to cry. I am vegan already (no meat, no dairy, no eggs). And I'm thinking of cutting out soy to see if it's bothering me. Cutting out all grains?? No rice? No rice noodles? No quinoa or quinoa noodles? No gluten free breads or gluten free waffles or gluten free baked goods? No gluten free pizza? I would be down to fruits...
  19. I posted this on another category already and someone suggested I cut out soy for a while, which I think I will do (but will be a challenge since I'm vegan and eat a lot of tofu), but in the meantime, I've been researching different things that could help me: I read that enzymes and probiotics can help with bloating which I am still having after all...
  20. OK thanks. I don't know what I'd do without soy. I'm vegan on top of celiac, so I eat a lot of tofu for protein... But maybe I will cut it out for a while and see what happens. I am so careful about cc but I'm still sick so maybe it's not gluten that's getting me...
  21. I'm in a rotten mood all the time lately. Irritability, depression, anxiety, fatigue. What should I try? I am taking some gluten free vitamins right now. Also some L-glutamine powder. Not doing the trick. I'm thinking of getting some probiotic supplements, or some sublingual B12 that I keep reading about on this site. (Anyone know if the B12 is vegan...
  22. My two cents: I have a horrible temper lately. And depression and anxiety. I don't know if I am accidentally eating gluten, I'm really careful. It feels like pms, except it's every day.
  23. I've been gluten-free for over a year and having major issues with mood swings and fatigue, depression, anxiety, etc. I also keep wondering if it's accidental ingestion of gluten or something else. (Vitamin deficiency, hormones, etc.) Just wanted to tell you that you're not alone! Keep coming back to this forum, that's what I do. You will get a lot of...
  24. What?! I have anxiety, and I can see how that could have been celiac-related all along (even though I am still suffering from it after being gluten-free for over a year), but hearing loss and TMJ? I've had both of these problems for years. Are these really caused by celiac disease??
