  1. Thanks Luddie, you are absolutely right in that I am moving less and less, it's mainly down to the chronic fatigue, muscles weakness that I have. My whole system is sick, it seems. I feel like I'm hunching over, and everything is getting worse and worse. I'm not in a position right now to pursue a physiotherapist or anything like that, but perhaps...
  2. I am gluten intolerant, maybe celiac (positive bloods) and my joints are all terrible, I feel like a very elderly lady, and I'm in my thirty's. I can't walk on my feet properly (diagnosed with planta fascietis sp, and bursitis) also I recently have terrible weakness and pain my my knees and hips, and am walking hobbled over. The Dr's way maybe early arthritis...
  3. This is basically what happened to me last Thursday. I've been on the gluten challenge thing, and last Thursday, (it was 3 weeks into the challenge) I too was already feeling brain fog, pale, fatigued etc. I was also increasingly stressed and anxious (physically so, not due to anything in my life) and then I just started trembling, shaking, and my heart...
  4. Hi Amanda I don't have anything informative to add, sorry, but I just wanted to wish you all the best of luck. I'm here in Perth too, and struggling with, chronic ongoing health issues too. It's stressful dealing with the medical profession, and confusing trying to work at some self diagnosis at the same time. All the best with it all.
  5. I've been getting sicker each day on this challenge. Today, I;ve been so pale and strange in the head. After my four pieces of toast at lunch time, and my weet-bix for breakfast, and then after a biscuit (cookie) this afternoon, I started shaking and my heart was pounding, the pressure in my head felt terrible. I've been really disoriented etc (I used...
  6. when I read this, I think that's the bottom line, SHOULD i be happy with a diagnosis based on the bloods? My Dr seems to be, half the ppl on here seem to be, but why am I not convinced that I do def have celiac disease. I don't know what's wrong with me, I feel a bit lost. Maybe I'll finish this little challenge, and then when I see the bloods have def...
  7. Hi Again Ive just been turning everything over that the Dr said, that Ive read on here and googled myself etc, and Im really confused. As Ive mentioned before Ive tested positive in the bloods for celiac disease, although it was not a very high positive. From the bit of reading I did on false positive for the particular test I was positive in, the only...
  8. when I went in to pick up a copy of my blood test my Dr said that I definately am gluten intolerant (based on the positive blood results) but not sure about celiac yet. So, would you say that even if the biopsy is neg, that it's just as important to be STRICTLY gluten free if you are non celiac gluten intolerant as it is if you have celiac?
  9. Hi, I'm from Perth too. My Dr told me today that I'm Gluten Intolerant, but the jury is still out on celiac disease. Off to try and find your thread....
  10. I have another thread going re my current position with regard to the testing....am doing the gluten challenge atm. But I've just been reading a few post in here and am starting to gather that having non celiac gluten intolerance in itself is a serious condition. I didn't realise. I'm wondering though if having gluten intolerance alone would cause...
  11. it was done in September 2009. Is that before they started testing differently?
  12. No, that's all it said on the print out I've got, I typed it all out except the Drs name, dates lab etc...no codes at all. Frustrating.
  13. OK, here is what the gene test report says, I don't know if it's in enough detail for people with a deep understanding of the genetic side of things. HLA Typing for Coeliac Disease Interpretation: Alleles associated with coeliac disease are ABSENT Conclusion: The absence of DQ2 (DQB1*02) and DQ8 (DQB1*0302) and DQA1*05 makes the diagnosis of...
  14. Thanks Mari, I will try and get a copy of that test too, I might be able to pick up a copy today or tomorrow. Only this morning I pick up a copy of my bloods taken two weeks ago, since being on less gluten. Comparing the results to the original ones taken two years ago, I'm a bit confused. Since the tests were done in two different labs, they results...
  15. The title basically says it, but I'll expand a bit. About two years ago I had the first blood test to screen for celiac disease which came back as a 'borderline' positive. Since I was on a long waiting list for the biopsy, and I was quite anxious for a result, I requested the gene test. This came back as negative, so the Dr said no I def didn't have...
