  1. Since they asked, I would go ahead and tell them. I would be sure to explain the cross-contamination issue. If they can't or won't accommodate you (even after they asked their guests to tell them about food issues), then definitely eat before the event or take some gluten free snacks with you.

  3. I am able to eat Santitas White Corn Triangle Tortillas without any issues. They're made by Frito-Lay and from what I can tell most of their tortialls contain sunflower oil.
  4. My periods have always been irregular. I could seriously go up to 6 months without having a single one. When I was put on thyroid medication, they became more regulated, but they still weren't on a monthly cycle. I haven't tried a gluten free diet, so I don't know what will happen when I go gluten free.
  5. He could have celiac. I've also heard of people who gave up gluten (not for medical reasons) and then after a while, would feel sick after eating gluten again.
  6. Yes! I've been getting the headaches a lot lately, including one tonight. I'm new to this whole celiac and gluten deal, so I never recognized the symptoms before. Mine feels almost like a sinus headache. I generally take some Excedrin, but that doesn't really do anything, I just have to wait it out. Tonight, it was hurting on the right frontal lobe side....
  7. Nurse practitioner is looking to see if my insurance covers celiac testing. I sure hope so, to get an answer!
