  1. Thanks for the help, and wow, those are long lists on the main page! I'll be sure to go through them all. Nothing so far that matches anything with my washing detergent but I'm still worried about the fragrances that it contains. I'm going to call them tomorrow. My cutlery is metal, and I rarely use my chopping board, but I'll be sure to give...
  2. I was fine up until yesterday when I started to experience low level anxiety. My energy levels are okay, even though they are not as high as they were last week. Can this be normal? I was feeling great last week and now this is happening. I have just looked around my home for anything with gluten in it including shampoos, laundry detergents, shaving cream...
  3. I have memory issues and have had them for around a year now. My blood test result today came back negative but I am still convinced I have it given the big change when I'm off gluten. Anyway, does memory function improve after being off gluten for a while? It's getting embarrassing with my friends now. I keep repeating some things, such as a piece of news...
  4. Thanks for restoring faith in me, guys!
  5. Absolutely, I feel better. My life's changed dramatically!
  6. I had only been off wheat/gluten for two to three days, but other than that I had been consuming it normally. It was only that two-three day break, but perhaps even going for that such short period of time could have affected it, maybe? Not sure. I did have a large pizza with a lot of gluten side extras to gluten myself up the day before the test. Oh, well...
  7. I just got my blood test results for celiac disease, random sugars, infections and wheat intolerance and they came back normal! I was told quickly over the phone when I called to see if they had the results in. I'm so convinced that I have either wheat/gluten intolerance or celiac!! There is a big difference in both my personality and physical side when...
  8. Everybody varies. Mine altered within a day. For some, it can take a few days, a week, 3 weeks or even a couple of months. You won't know until you try.
  9. But you are off gluten now, right? From your first sentence it sounds like you are still consuming gluten.
  10. Honestly, I don't have much energy after a reaction. All I wanted to do was sleep. I have noticed the reaction calms with the more sleep you have. Try that instead!
  11. It's weird that you suggest that I tell people that it's Celiac's regardless of the result because I was contemplating on doing the same thing! I am SO convinced that it is that I have even challenged people to bets, although they never took up the offer, lol. It's DEFINETELY got something to do with either wheat or gluten, so I may just do what you have...
  12. I have only just started and so am I!
  13. If you can, try and go gluten free for as long as possible and see what happens to your OCD thoughts/actions. You may just be surprised! I'm kinda like your dad, I will always look for a natural treatment for health issues rather than manufactured medicines. I'm especially against being on meds for depression. I hate how doctors think the answer is...
  14. I'm a writer, myself. I write articles online, and it used to take me around a half hour to get one out there but now I can whizz one out in around 5-10 mins. And I do not believe the quality has deteriorated! I'm also writing a movie script, and I can feel myself becoming more creative now than when I was on gluten/wheat.
  15. I won't get my blood test results until around Tuesday, but I was wondering if anybody had OCD like behaviors or thoughts? I have had scary thoughts for 15 years but ever since going gluten free last week they have almost completely vanished! I get the odd fleeting thought (more a flash than anything) but without the follow up rumination and worry. I can...
  16. For me, it's usually the next day, along with other symptoms such as anxiety, chronic fatigue and a little depression. Even my typing speed improves! lol.
  17. I had my blood test yesterday so I haven't had a diagnosis yet, but mine is like having compressed air at the back of my head. Everything feels heavy. My thoughts conflict with one another. I also have OCD when I eat wheat/gluten and think of terrifying and anxious thoughts. Thoughts that make no sense. Everyone is supposed to get random though traffic but...
  18. Well, the person who took the blood test today had no idea what the test was for. She said that wasn't her job to know, only to take the test. She did ask if I wanted to delay the test for another day to ask the doctor, but I declined as I just wanted to get it over with. I'll know the result in a week, and I'll ask the doctor then.
  19. Man, I've not even tested positive yet, but I can relate to so many things here! I can also relate to the two posts above with the rambling and thinking and what actually comes out being different thing. I had friends over tonight and ended up saying something completely unrelated to the topic to end my sentence and had to correct myself. It's really...
  20. I have a blood test tomorrow to confirm whether I have caeliac disease, but even if it comes back negative I am still going to pursue it, as I do believe celiac disease is really the cause! I was fine this morning, but I glutened up after and I began to stumble over my words again. The anxiety that I get with it is still with me, too. Can't wait to get off...
  21. I can stumble over my own words and stutter before managing to get words out. I find that I also have to "search" for the words in my mind before making an effort to get them out. Anyone else have this issue? I suffer brain fog so I guess the cause could be because of that. When I follow a wheat free diet I am fine and I don't stutter or stumble over my...
  22. Thanks for the link, Karen, that was useful. I'll be sure to take some notes down to show the doc tomorrow before the blood test.
  23. There is nothing like what you mentioned on the form. Yeah, I live in the UK, lol. I will ask on Tuesday before having the test done for what they are actually testing for and I will mention what you have told me about the Ig things. Btw, I have anxiety issues, such as OCD, and when I went off the gluten/wheat diet, my anxiety levels and OCD fell! I...
  24. Thank you, mushroom, that was helpful! Well, today I went back on wheat/gluten since reading your reply (not sure if there is a solid difference between gluten and wheat hence why I put the / there) and I fell back into having lower energy and the usual symptoms more or less right away from eating it. What about the mild itching and snuffly nose...
  25. Hi, I've recently suspected wheat intolerance or allergy as I ate some bran flakes as a cereal on Tuesday and I experienced severe stomach cramps. It's now Friday and I feel what can only be described as now like a mild bruising kind of pain in the middle of my stomach. The pain is now less than what it was two days ago, but it is still there in a mild...
