  1. jmrogers31, I contacted the company to confirm that Gold Peak is gluten free (Still important that we all continue to ask the companies directly,so the companies have the inquiry traffic regarding gluten free needs of their products and to confirm "from the horses mouth" as they say that it is currently gluten free). Below is their e-mail response. Cheers...
  2. Staying at the Conrad in san Juan. I have a small fridge and a microwave, so I'm set for warm food. I brought some microwave meals. Next to the ship where I'll meet with the restaurant manager to go over my gluten free needs. So far non stressful. Just enjoying the warmth of the sun. I brought my iPad to check items that I purchased down in PR were gluten...
  3. Just as the others said, no worries with the scope. Pre-scope i was a little anxious. It took longer to prep than to do the procedure (at least from my standpoint as i was out once they started). I just remember i started a countdown (i maybe said three numbers and thats it) and waking up afterwards. Good luck.
  4. I'm really interested in the nutrition and working out too since being diagnosis. Pre-diagnosis I would run out of steam during workouts and after (4months) I think it's a little better. I'm giving it time for my body to heal so I can take in all those needed nutrients. Until then my over all intake is up. Pre workout I eat a chobani yogurt, almonds, a...

It was going to be in Europe, but I wasn't ready for that yet (heart yes, mind/body/emotionally no), so off to the Caribbean. We had vouchers for airfare that needed to be used and felt like cruises would be able to accommodate my needs. I've been on cruises before (the wife...
  7. There is something to be said about the comfort of others that share your condition (thanks everyone). I'm three and half months in and am very careful not to be glutened (almost to the point of being OCD, oh my poor wife, but she has been amazing). I had no problem accepting my diagnosis and with buying in to what I needed to do to be healthy and even found...
  8. Hello Ceara, I'm recently diagnosed with celiac and have yet to go to a support group. I live in Saint Paul too. The northland celaics website lists out a few support groups in the cities. I'm sure these groups work with those intolerant to gluten as well as those with celiac. They list some contacts also. Open Original Shared Link There is not a meeting...
  9. Is there a possibility for cross contamination when ordering a soda or any beverage dispensed from a bar dispenser gun? All have separate lines until the funnel at the end to dispense the drink into the glass. To my understanding Soda, juice, water and some bar rail alcohol (cheap booze) is usually served this way. So if I order a coke (gluten free) and assuming...
