  1. I'm almost done reading the Gluten-Free Diet by Elizabeth Hasselbeck. It's very helpful so far. I think it's important to read several books about gluten free lifestyle because some may have information that others don't. *Also, included in the back of the book is a Celiac Restaurant Card that you can punch out and use, and it's quite a good one!*
  2. Oh I see. Sorry to hear about that. It sucks when on top of being gluten free you have to worry about other sources or allergies as well.
  3. Why are you concerned about corn? Corn is fine for celiacs to eat. Unless you have an allergy or something with corn?
  4. I'm gonna have to learn how to make some rice krispies treats too. These rice krispies make a nice light breakfast too with a little bit of sugar and sliced strawberries. Making myself hungry all over again lol. Hopefully more major cereal manufacturers will come out with gluten free varieties as I feel celiac awareness is definitely growing.
  5. Yeah for sure, I am really grateful for the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act. But I still worry sometimes thinking that some companies might be quick to label Wheat, but not necessarily rye or barley, so it makes me think that those can slip through without being labeled. I guess it depends on the company though. I'm still learning.
  6. It sure can get tricky huh? I'm still new to all of this being a recently diagnosed celiac. I suppose I'm safe with the vinegar I use, I just use Krasdale distilled vinegars.
  7. I would usually search in google for support groups, but I don't ever really find much. Should I be looking in a more specific place. I'm wondering if anyone else has the same trouble as me finding support groups.
  8. From what I'm aware of, these gluten free rice krispies have been released very recently. It's nice to see more big companies cater to the gluten free community! Open Original Shared Link
  9. So recently I emailed ConAgra foods only to find out whether their Reddi wip cream is gluten free. The email response I got back was even more than I had asked for, giving a list of their products that DO NOT contain gluten, how nice of them! Here's the response: Thank you for your email concerning our Reddi-wip Whipped Topping. We understand how important...
  10. Anyone live in New York City that knows of any support groups. They're not as easy to find as I thought.
