  1. I was diagnosed with a corn allergy about 8 years prior to my celiac disease diagnosis. I had rashy skin that never really went away even without the elimination of corn in my diet. The rash and bloating gets really bad if I eat it in it's purist form, which I do about 2 times a month. I love mexican food so I suffer for it. I was also told at the time I...
  2. Kaytee, you need to a grip. By the way, I was not angry when I called. That doesn't make any sense. Kaytee, you need to stop posting slander on this website. You don't know me nor does anyone at Wholly Tomato. I am not "getting away with" anything. I had a bad experience and the reason I posted was to let people know the restaurant didn't care when I called...
  3. Kaytee -First of all, I did call to complain and was told there is no way I could have gotten sick there. I agree that the fact they don't care, doesn't make sense, good business sense. I have been gluten-free for 5 years and know when I get sick. I know several people in the restaurant business in Denver and all agree the sandwiches are tasteless and the...
  4. I have eaten there three times, successfully. I always eat the flat iron steak with broccoli (steamed.) I ask everytime if the steaks are cooked on their own grill, away from the Jack Daniels steaks etc. I have always been told yes, and they seem to be right!
  5. I am looking for a really good bread to enjoy with a meal, while everyone is eating their bread, over the holidays. I have tried a lot of bread but have yet to find one that I can pull out of the oven crusty on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Oh, I would really like it if it didn't fall apart too. Maybe I am just asking to much? Has anyone had...
  6. Boulder chips! All natural and trust me, they are really good!
  7. Wholly Tomato is a sandwich shop in Denver, Co. I have eaten there a total of 3 times. The first two times the bread was really, really dry (irish soda bread), they poured the watery condiments on the bread (for moisture, i think) and they were overall pretty tasteless. It also took over 15 minutes to make two sandwiches (all 3 times) and we were the only...
  8. Has anyone tried Mary's Gone Original Crackers? I had tried some before but I just bought a box last week and I got really sick. I thought perhaps it was the soup I ate - but I just tried them again and within minutes, I was ill. Anybody have the same experience? I have been contaminated so many times this week, I am such a bad mood!!!!
  9. My familyand I are visiting in-laws in OC NJ this summer and would love to have some reccomendations on where to eat! In particular, breakfast places, as this is my favorite meal. We are going to be there the second week of July. Thanks for your help! Michele Hunter
