  7. I did the 3 hour glucose fast test last week and my numbers came back fine. Luckily, I do not have GD. Yes, my doc warned about putting on too much weight as it could lead to a difficult delivery. He aslo suggested I go to the gym and exercise more. Im just to exhausted by the time I get home after a day of teaching all day. I'm stuck in a food "rut" and...
  8. I have known about my celiac disease for 10 years now. Ive always been on the thin side. Ive never gained a lot of weight. Now, naturally, at 6 months pregnant, Ive gained weight. Ive put on 35 pounds already. Im just hungry all the time! I must admit I do eat sugar, such as rice pudding and chocolate, such as Reeses PNB Cups. I have a gluten-free bagel every...
  9. I've forgotten to check the responses to my question from August. Thank you for your replies. I'm still wondering if anyone else can add to this, based on their own experience? 15. Hello fellow Celiacs, If you live in NY and haven't tried Bistango on 3rd and 29th, you dont know what you're missing! 18. Does anyone know what's okay to order from a bar? Last week, I went out with friends and had a few apple martinis. A few days later I suffered a horrible, excruciating Celiac attack (severe naseau, diarrea), so bad I thought Id need an ambulance. Ive also been eating out lately cuz it was my birthday. I was very safe in ordering (bland food). The waitresses...
  19. Obviously, theres no such thing as living in a "gluten free bubble", however, that wouldnt be such a bad thing, LOL. And I do not think the companies are "out to get us"---thats silly. My point is that why label something as gluten-free if it really isnt 100% gluten-free? Its also difficult to really know and trust certain companies even if they reassure...
  20. I'm not sure I understand why some food companies label their foods "gluten free" yet also have a warning that says their products are made in a facility that makes products with wheat???????????? Isn't this like an oxymoron???? How can something be truly gluten free when the company is also telling you that that gluten-free food may be contaminated with...
