  3. Sorry no helps just sending big hugs!!!!
  4. Oh no you have a bit of a delima. You need to get your doctor to change your lisinopril to something else. As far as the Gluten free. It is not fun AT ALL to go back on it. How important is the testing to you?
  5. Looks to me like IgG is POSITIVE!!!!!!!!! I am not sure about the Gene test I will have to look it but something is amiss.
  6. BIG BIG HUGS TO YOU!!!!! I had my leg biopsy today and Endoscopy on Thurs then I am doing the same!
  7. Went to the dermatologist today and he said he thinks it may be Lichen Planus. He did do a biopsy but now we wait. Well I did some research on Lichen Planus and here is what I found. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link ******It is surprising that association of cutaneous LP and celiac disease has never been reported previously...
  8. Woo Hoo soooo happy will be all done with testing on Fri and on the Gluten free diet on my way to feeling better. I can not wait to have all this behind me!!!
  9. As far as I know there is NO link to lisinopril and Celiac. (I work in pharmacy) Celiac is a genetic disease. However your symptoms do sound a lot like Celiac. How long have you been Gluten free? I might or might not have an impact. There are folks with much more experiecne that will chime in. Sorry still new here and figuring it out myself. Roxie
  10. I knew after shopping I was gonna have to learn to do a lot of cooking and packaging. It will be good for me but until then I am stuck with prepacked if I wanted the carb stuff. lol I will get there. Good to know about the kitchen supplies. I must have just misunderstood. It will still be pricey but I think I can get a few items to start and just use those...
  11. Really new dishes? I don't know if I can afford it. The food is sooo expensive. I spent $50 the other day and got like 10 things. I am a bargin shopper and Gluten Free food is far from bargin prices.
  12. Wow such great advice from all!!!!! I was gluten free a 1 and 1/2 days before the call to do the endoscopy so back on the gluten but come next Friday bye bye! Although I am not expecting much from the biopsies because DQ1 from what I read almost always come back negative. However if I could get the GI doc to biopsy my leg with the rash then maybe.
  13. I have had the blisters although not that big. I actually posted a picture of mine when it was about 2 months old and no blister here is the link to that post.
  14. This I will definately do! Going to say my goodbyes to my favorite Lo Mein tonight.
  15. Hahaha Thanks Cara got it covered my mom is a nurse and she is taking me.
  16. That is great advice. Thank you for sharing your story too. I really don't expect the biopsies to turn up anything. From what I have read it is VERY RARE for a DQ1 to have villi damage.
  17. Me too thank you so much!
  18. Welcome..... I also had that moment here many times. I was a Failure to thrive infant and my mom was told I would not surive. I was a fighter then and I am still fighting. This place is wonderful there are so many wonderful people with great advice. I am sure We will both learn a lot! Good luck. Roxie
  19. You know I ALWAYS broke out in hives as a child. I still do at least 3 times a week. We have never been able to pinpoint a cause but I bet it could be the gluten.
  20. Any tips? I know with my double DQ1 status chances that it is shows anything are slim but I have other reasons to have it done like vomiting blood. So wish me luck. Roxie
  21. I am waiting from doctors approval for both if he says go ahead and I can get them done soon. I will stay on gluten. Otherwise I give on both. I can't do this anymore. Although I understand totally why you say that I just don't know if my body can take anymore.
  22. Any tips on how to start out things to know etc. I am going gluten free. I do not have Celiac just a double set of DQ1 genes subtypes (5,6) and a ton of symptoms that I believe to be gluten related. So in an effort to get well I am going to give this a try. Just want to make sure I do it the right way. So I am ready to absorb all the wonderful information...
  23. Would anyone happen to know if blood tests are ever positve with DQ1?
  24. I have only asked for a referal to a derm so I won't know if they are skilled with DH till I go in. Regardless I will badger them for a biopsy. Today I start gluten free. So hopefully on my way to recovery. Thank you so much for all your help!!!!
  25. Here is what I sent to my doctor.......... He is pretty easy and wants to figure things out too. What do you think? Ok I admit I was ready to throw in the towel and give up but I just can't. I refuse to believe this can't be fixed. I WILL walk up that waterfall on my vacation!!!! Call me crazy but I still believe Gluten is the culprit! I have been doing...
