  1. Well you ladies are all just full of sunshine and happiness today. lol At least you don't sugar coat it! Guess I will just pray for a positive! At least I can be fairly confident that regardless of outcome my symptoms along with my wonderful ugly leg rash tells me I have it even if they can not prove it. I know I felt better gluten free even for the breif...
  2. Well ick........ Grrrr Can't wait to be done testing. Regardless of outcome I am going gluten free. I felt much better in the short amount of time I did it.
  3. Ok I find this very interesting I went gluten free for between 3 to 4 weeks before I took the antibody test as a result my doc thinks we got a false negative. Now I am eating gluten again but said we would retest at 4 weeks. Would that be enough time considering that I only was gluten free for about the same amount of time?
  4. So would these be the scars? The blisters went away a long time ago but these ugly bumps are still here.
  5. I look at it this way...... Celiac has so many symptoms it could be the cause and what do you have to lose? Worst that happens is you come back negative. I say go for it.
  6. I wish I knew but I am usually ok by lunch.
  7. It did itch and burn but not anymore this is about 2 months old.
  8. Here is mine you have to forgive the legs. Hard to shave over those bumps. Mine started out felt like razor burn then developed blisters and finally turned into this. No diagnosis on it but the flower shape seems to be a theme. Any thoughts?
  9. I am not yet diagnosed but I do have this symptom. It is an awful one!
  10. Now it makes sense thank you! I have already had blood drawn for HLA typing and if they come back positive then will have a biposy and repeat antibody tests. I am currently eating gluten in preparation for that. If it is negative then all this testing will come to an end.
  11. I would wait for results. If you had a positive blood test I wouldn't worry about the biopsy. Could be they just got a bad sample. Everything I read says there are very few false positives. I would go with that. On another note can you describe your rash you had? I have had what I believe to be the celiac rash but it would be nice to compare notes.
  12. I wish I could just go gluten free but I do need the diagnosis. I am certain several others in my family would benefit from a gluten free diet but getting them to do it will not be easy!!! I need this diagnosis to get them to listen to me. Also my son's father will not put him on a gluten free diet at his house without it. I am fairly certain and so is my...
  13. All I can say is WOW your symptoms almost mirror mine and so do the kids!!! My son has had stomach aches and growing pains his whole life. He also has bad tooth enamel and white poo. I am currently in the process of getting tested if positive then it is his turn. What were the numbers and ranges?????????? I can't believe they were negative. Maybe false...
  14. I have the worst muscle weakness. It is a chore to even walk to my car. I had been on a gluten free diet for a couple weeks and was feeling much better. I then tested negative on the antibody test. My doctor thinks it is a false negative and has ordered me back on the gluten. I now feel worse than ever. Main problems are fatigue, headaches but the worst is...
  15. I will do it than k you Mitzi! I won't have to argue with him. He already thinks we got a false negative. My doctor is pretty convinced Celiac is what my problem is.
  16. It just said negative
  17. ENDOMYSIAL ANTIBODY SCR (IGA) W/REFL TO TITER Does it mean they found the antibody even if the test is negative? If so how can a test be negative if the antibody is present? I was under the impression the only place you see this is with Celiac. Ughhh
  18. Just a protective mommy I guess. I don't want him to have to get stuck if he doesn't have to. lol It always makes me feel bad. So unless it is absolutely a must I try to avoid it. But based on what you have told me I think maybe he should be tested even if I come back negative. Thanks!
  19. You have a family history of Celiac and they won't test you? Time to fire your doctor and get a new one! The doctor works for you. People forget that. I work in a doctor's office and without patients they would not have a practice or a home. My doctor listens to me. All I have to do is ask and I get any test I want as long as it is reasonable. If it isn't...
  20. I am not diagnosed yet but the only pain I usually feel is gas pain or from my gallbladder which is upper right abdominal.
  21. Ok I am currently being tested for Celiac but my son had a bad case of loose stool and there were little egg shaped white pieces floating in it He doesn't eat anything like that. I had someone suggest maybe he should be tested too. Does this sound like a Celiac symptom? After reading about it I know he does have a few symptoms like bad tooth enamel, tummy...
  22. Thank you I think I will ask for that no matter what the results of my tests.
  23. I have both actually I can't make it through a simple one item shopping trip without stopping to rest. My legs feel like they are going to give out just from the walk up to the door. The thirst thing I have had forever. I think it is from my meds.
  24. Can you have Celiac and all electrolytes be normal? I am borderline anemic but potasium, sodium, all the basic metobolic panel labs are normal. I have many symptoms and have since I was a baby including Intussception and I was a failure to thrive baby. Now liver enzymes out of whack, among countless other problems but electrolytes are normal? Haven't tested...
