  5. Just an update. I ended up making gluten-free/DairyFree/EggFree gingerbread dough and sending that with my son. The teacher helped him make his cookie first so there wouldn't be cross-contamination with the other kids.   8. I completely agree with you about food in the classroom. We also have a child with a peanut allergy and it's a constant struggle. Everywhere I go we are offered candy and treats by "well-meaning" people. Even in church Sunday school, which we cannot do anymore. (Why do they serve snacks an hour before lunchtime? Anybody?   10. I found a Wild Oats rice milk product that is gluten free, so I'll be buying that in the future. My husband accidentally fed my son sausage two days ago that had traces of wheat starch in it. We will have accidents, I know. We're learning. Carrie
  11. I went back and rechecked that Rice Milk label. It does say .002% trace of barley. I bet you inhale that amount of flour when you walk through the grocery store or go into a restaurant or sit next to someone eating sandwiches.
