ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Could be the ALA. I've read warnings about taking it without a chelator. I know I've posted it a few times but I dont know whether you saw it or not. Be careful!! Amy did not want me taking ALA by itself. I only just now started taking it along with the DMSA and the other detox supplements. -

I had a few Endocrinologists at the beginning of my illness...at that time I had been diagnosed with Graves Disease. I used to lose a ton of hair in a day and my hormones were totally whacked out. This continued long after my thyroid was stabilized. Things are still not "normal" but they are better. For me...all of this....including the Graves Disease... -

Christina, I'm not sure where you go the info about fulvic acid being toxic?? I have only read the opposite of that. I know alot of people take fulvic acid in their detox program. The minerals are crucial because without them our bodies hold onto metals and we do not detox. Our bodies require minerals. Most of us are deficient in these minerals... -

Glad you're feeling better Ami! I'll re-post the Klinghardt "Triad of Detoxification" so you can understand what happens with the infections when you start chelation. I'm glad your Dr. is aware that they can come out and play but dont let things get too out of hand. I dont want you to end up with a bigger problem. -

YAY Rinne!! I'm so happy for you....and soooo jealous that I wasnt one of the ones enjoying the bars! Yeah...I always think theres alot to that . Infections are known to trigger autoimmune disease so it would definately make sense. Hi Julie. So nice to you, hope you are feeling better soon. I'M SO GLAD ROBBIN IS MAKING PROGRESS... -

I do take my supplements out of the capsule but as far as probiotics go....I dont take them at all. I havent taken any probiotics in over a year because they give me problems. Also I read this and I'm not sure if this is the reason I've had problems....but I figure I dont want to take chances. Probiotics dont make me feel better so I steer clear for... -

Thanks for the warning. I dont seem to have a problem with my trace minerals. They're an important part of detox and healing. You cant detox very well without minerals....your body will not let go of the metals. My Dr. only uses the high quality stuff...nothing that you can pick up at the store. There is no mention of great salt lake or coal mines on... -

Thanks for explaining! I did fill out a form and tried to submit it but it wasnt bringing me to a new page. I never saw anything where I had to explain why I wanted to join. Must have missed that....or it was on the next page which wasnt coming up for me?? Oh well. I was just wanting to read what the posters were saying. I could try again another... -

Is the woman running the low-oxalate site named Susan?? How do you join?? I tried last night....nothing happened...picked my name "RachelMarie247"....but I couldnt get on. If its Susan...this is what shes saying about ALA (widely used in chelating mercury). -

Wow! I'm betting thats what it is. Its very obvious under my nails....if it accumulates they can get pretty solid like a piece of crystal! On my face its small...like little pieces of salt. It really makes alot of sense to me. Sulfur metabolism is a part of the methionine pathway....a major detox pathway that is not functioning well in alot of... -

Unfortunately, because of the fungal issues my immune system is highly reactive to anything containing the slightest amounts of yeast/molds. Fermented foods are totally out for me...all of them. Its a heinosity that I think will improve immensely as my mercury burden is lessened. -

Julie....this was my thinking as well. I didnt last too long on the candida boards because the process made no sense to me....and it obviously didnt solve my problems. I was spinning my wheels. I'll be the first to admit that eliminating carbs can reduce alot of symptoms...but I dont think we were meant to live on such a restricted diet. I'm 100% positive... -

Before you eliminate gluten from her diet you may want to have the Dr. run a bloodtest for Celiac. That way you wont be wondering about it later. Once you take it out of the diet the tests are not accurate. If the gluten-free diet helps her you wont want to put her back on it later for testing. I would get that out of the way now if you're someone who... -

I read this post today on another board. Its having to do with diet, carbohydrates, candida, etc. I really agreed with much of what was written....even though it goes against alot of what is preached about treating candida. I thought it was an excellent post overall. Open Original Shared Link These are the points which really ring true....in my... -

If its the cause of your suffering you definately dont need it....or you might need less of it. You may need to try a different brand. Is it a high quality probiotic?? Its good that you're getting a new GI....have him retest you for the bacteria overgrowth since you are still symptomatic....I doubt he will be receptive to the yeast possibility. Mainstream... -

I think pretty much all of the autistic kids have GI problems. All of my current Dr.'s are treating the autistic kids and they do have GI infections, food intolerance, leaky gut, yeast, etc. I've never heard of an autistic child NOT having GI issues. They might not have noticeable symptoms (in comparison to other things going on) but they do tend to have... -

What is Xafaxin?? I've never heard of it (but I'm no expert on antibiotics either)....looked it up and could not find much of anything about it?? What I did read said it was a new drug (this was written in 2005)...it appeared that the person who was taking it was using it for liver disease?? So I'm confused about the xafaxin because I cant find any info... -

Hi Melmak, I read your thread....there wasnt much said about diet. Since you've just recently been diagnosed what do you eat?? Were you told to go dairy free for awhile?? Why does your new Dr. question your Celiac diagnosis? Was your bloodwork positive for IgA and/or positive tTG? I dont know what your diet is like but you might need to eliminate... -

Judy...Parvo really is a dog virus. Apparantly humans can get it too....I had no idea until the Dr. told me it was there. Yup....your garden is sooo nice. I love all the pictures, the woodpecker too! The patio looks really peaceful and relaxing. I have to go back to see if I've already read the August 17th entry. I read the first ones that...
